Which are the best (lowest carb) salad dressings? I have gotten burnt out on EVOO/vinegar dressings.

    I make an occasional Caesar with mayonnaise or Fage yogurt plus Parmesan, anchovies and olive oil. Delicious.

    Some ranch, caesar and blue cheese are low carb. But you have to read the labels. My store brand caesar is really good.

    Bolthouse Yogurt dressings are yummy. And 35-40 calories

    I also use lemon juice sometimes or just red wine vinegar

    My go-to if I'm eating out is Ranch. Generally anything creamy will be higher fat and lower carb. Just avoid any vinaigrettes (which I actually love) or low-fat dressings because they tend to have sugar added.

    I usually go with ceaser or light ranch, balsalmic every now and then as well. All though I can tell my pallet is changing, I used to drench my salad and now a very little seems like too much

    Be careful with anything light. Sugar is added to make up for the fat removed.

    mash up a little blue cheese or feta cheese with that olive oil and vinegar! Delicious. I also love tahini dressing.

    I might just throw together a Caesar salad - lettuce (spinach or romaine), seasoned chicken, parm, and Caesar dressing. I am trying to reduce my calories a little. I use a LOT of butter right now and I am feeling meh about that.

    I would really recommend making your own homemade Ranch, using Mayonnaise, Sour Cream, Herbs, Garlic, Vinegar etc (id leave out the Buttermilk and just use Sour Cream and a drop of water to make it the right consistency)
    Or homemade Caeser, using Mayonnaise, Olive Oil, Dijon Mustard, Garlic, Vinegar, Anchovies, Parmesan Cheese etc.

    Ive spent forever reading every label on every salad dressing sold in our Supermarket and every single one of them contained sugar (and fairly high up on the ingredients list too). Even the full-fat Ranch, Caeser, Blue Cheese etc all had added sugar. Crazy. No wonder we have a fat epidemic when theyre sneaking sugar into every damned product they possibly can.

    Watch out for soybean oil in bottled dressings, too. They sneak that into damn near everything that's supposed to be fatty. I picked up a jar of mayo "made with olive oil", was in a hurry and didn't stop to read the ingredient list. Sure enough, soybean oil was the first ingredient, with olive oil maybe sixth. Grrr!

    At home, when I get bored of the oil and vinegar routine, I like to change it up by using salsa as the dressing, an incorporating fatty salad ingredients like avocado and/or cheese. Homemade creamy dressings are awesome, too.

    I like to fry chopped chorizo in butter then tip it, together with the butter and spicy chorizo oil, over a salad. Works really well with Brie.

    I have been on a kick with this southwest ranch dressing. I have it on a salad with chicken and 1oz of mexican blend shredded cheese. Its a nice change from the regular creamy dressings

    Ranch or mayo. Especially yummy (for some unknown reason) if you make your salad ahead of time and let it sit in the fridge.
