Just One June - Final Check-In

So, how'd you do?
I'm sorry, I know I've been slacking for Check-In posts. My month has been pretty hectic.
I didn't have much luck with my goal of finding out what helps my back not be in pain, but I did find some things that don't seem to bother it too much (rollerblading, of all things). I also stumbled upon something that might help, though I'm still testing it -- the hip drills for bellydancing (again, of all things). So, I'll be playing with that in the coming days/weeks/months to see if it helps.

Lost 1lb. Gave up the scale for June. Not really that happy. Been doing this WOE since the beginning of March. Not going to quit because at least I'm not hungry as compared with other "points based" WOE. Now I am doing IF for July and only going to weigh on Friday. Fingers crossed.0

I don't remember what I started with as my challenge, but I quit that first week because I wasn't realistic. So, on the 18th, my BFF challenged me to go until 7/13 without weighing in on the scale, so I guess I wrapped my June up with that, though I never bounced back into the challenge check ins...0

Starting weight: 149.2
Ending weight: 148.2
I always have lots of fluctuations on the scale (I weigh daily to get the full picture). When I started, 149.2 was the bottom of my dips, way below my average. Now, at the end, it's above my average weigh-in. So it only looks like a pound dropped, but it probably represents more like 5 pounds.
I said I was going to add carbs back in, and then I felt rotten so I said I wouldn't, but then I did anyway, so I pretty much stayed where I intended. Other things haven't been as awesome. I've had some dragging-myself-around days, and my skin isn't as clear as it was on ZC. I haven't been waking up as early as I was in May, but then again the A/C's white noise might be canceling out my alarm sensitivity.
I still prefer the days where I eat nothing but meat all day, so a month back on hasn't changed that. But when I do start with the carbs I have to be mindful not to eat too many.0 -
I had committed to track all my water as if it were a food item. Halfway through the month I quit tracking entirely, but I found out that when I was more mindful of my water consumption and made sure to drink more earlier in the day, I felt a lot better, ate less, slept better, and had less fluctuations on the scale. I am down around five pounds, which is tarate of loss I am quite happy with, I am down an inch on both my waist and hips, but I look way better than that even because my posture is starting to improve, so ALL of my clothes look and fit better because I am not letting my belly weight sway my back. So all in all a good month, regardless of the challenge!0

I had two goals (I'm a rebel):
1) Don't weigh from June 1st until July 1st. I did fantastic at not weighing until I came down with a nasty summer cold, started allowing more carbs and taking medicines that surely contained quite a bit of hidden carbs, and quit working out. I could literally feel the weight (water weight, I'm assuming) coming back on, so I broke down and weighed a couple times during the last week of the month. My scale, however, decided to be a PITA and become a random number generator that first time, so I didn't even record the weights anywhere.
2) Complete the MFP 30-Day HIIT Challenge. Again, I did fantastic at keeping up the workout schedule until I got sick. I quit on the 22nd because I was too sick and tired to continue. I still intend to complete the last week of the challenge, but I'm still extremely fatigued (and now my kids are sick, clingy, whiney, and needy), so maybe this weekend I'll get back to it. Also, we are moving later this month, so our already crowded 2-bedroom apartment is full of boxes, leaving even less room for working out. *sigh* Soon we will have about 400 square feet more space!!!
From June 1 to July 1, I went from 207.8 lbs to 203.0 lbs for a total loss of 4.8 lbs. I'm actually quite pleased with that, especially since I was largely out of commission for one entire week. And this morning I've dropped an additional 1.4 lbs, bringing me super close to my initial goal of dropping below 200 lbs.0 -
My June no scale is ending Sunday, I'll check back after I weight in.0
