Here goes the last week and a bit in June. 10 days .... I will have to make 10,000 steps everyday to reach my goal. Oh dear may be a little difficult on the work days! I am not going to stress about it though - that makes it just much harder for me to accomplish my goals.

Thank you, Lilymay, for your encouraging words on the previous week!! And I'm sure you can reach your goals, with your mind set on it...work does hinder movement quite a bit, though!!
I've decided that June is not going to be a month where I reach my goals, and I've decided to be ok with it. I'm increasing some of my activities, more specifically, doing things around the house and not worrying about what the Fitbit says. I'm spending the end of this month focusing on getting the house cleaned, remodeling finished, things organized, paint on the walls, and also doing more cooking at home and trying to make better food decisions (isn't it easier in the summer with so many fresh fruits and veggies!?!) and being more meticulous about logging. Not getting as many steps in, but some of the movements and activities are definitely using muscles that I haven't used in a while!!!
Here's the current damage:
19 - 3.25
20 - 4.22
21 - 1.5 (fitbit died)
22 - 2.53
23 - 3.08
(There are some better numbers in there than I expected!!!)
Total - 61.64, 7 days to go.0 -
June goals:
Walk 120 miles / 20 days over 10,000 steps
Week 1 - 21.9 miles
Week 2 = 32.5 miles Total 54.4 miles
June 15 - 3.3 miles
June 16 - 5.0 miles - 11096 steps (7/20 days)
June 17 - 3.2 miles
June 18 - 2.8 miles
June 19 - 5.9 miles - 13061 steps (8/20) days
June 20 - 4.2 miles
June 21 - 5 miles - 11047 steps (9/20 days)
Week 3 - 29.4 miles = Total of 83.8 miles
June 22 - 4.6 miles - 10082 steps (10/20 days)
June 23 - 3.8 miles
June 24 - 3.4 miles = 95.6 miles
Will have to do lots of walking to get ahead of the weekend... wedding on Saturday and can't guarantee a lot of dancing....0 -
24 - 2.85 miles = 64.49 miles
Got my cabinets put in place last night!! Have to do some additional securing, but tonight, I should be able to use them and get all the stuff cluttering the room put away!!!More usable space...and more steps/movement.

June 25th --- Had to teach my little grandson how to run through the sprinklers. He is only 23 month old and it was so hot out and he wanted to be outside.0 -

Great challenge. Never thought I could do this at 68 years old.

I haven't reached my goals this month, at the beginning of week 4 I got sick and going out for my morning walk in the middle of winter was a No No from my GP so I couldn't walk my remaining km
There is 1 day left of June so I will try to do a little bit more tomorrow
I am still happy that I walked 124km

I guess with the pressure off, things have a way or working out. My initial goal for the month was 260 but I thought that was too much so I revised it to 220 but wound up at 273.85. A friend reminded me that I did that even missing a decent number of days at the gym and that without missing so many days I could probably get 300! Maybe one day - but, with the way our bus fare keeps increasing that may happen sooner than later
