Got my latest lab work back today. A1C was 5.0 ....Doc said go ahead and stop Metformin altogether ...I'm still on a blood thinner until we see how my levels do off the Met ... 6 months from diagnosis to kickin the habit ...

So exciting that you got to stop the Metformin! I go back to my doc in December and I'm hoping that she'll tell me the same thing

You can do it! I know our starting numbers were very similar. I'm hoping to off everything including the blood pressure meds after my next visit. My morning numbers have stayed low thus far.0

I seem to have ousted diabetes now, yay! I know that I still need to test for a while, but that's okay.
I never thought it was possible, and am aware that no one has found a cure, but am happy nonetheless!0
