I'm stepping back on my specific goals. I want to get back on track in August, so I'm dialing it back to 100 miles in the month. Not going to say x miles per day, etc. Just need to get back to that 100 mile mark.

Outside of this group, I'm also going to work on better habits. Coming into work at 0530 makes it really hard to get up and make breakfast or even coffee (I need a programmable, but don't drink more than a cup). This week, I've prepped both our dinners (and usually my work lunch the next day) and my breakfasts. Each night, I'm going to have my Keurig ready to go in the morning. I spent $7 at the grocery for breakfasts and some creamer. I usually spend about $5 per day or a little more on breakfast. And today, I got to work 10 minutes earlier. :) Should also save some calories!!!

Here's my August miles so far:

    1 - 3.18
    2 - 2.73
3 - 1.8 (after work, I went to the grocery, prepped a week's worth of meals, cleaned the kitchen, then passed out on the couch by 7 PM...lol...hopefully will make the rest of the week less tiring, though.

    Total: 7.71

I like your new plan. I can't say I am going to make x miles per day either. I am really striving to make 10,000 steps in a day though...some day I will make my 20 in a month.

I make my breakfast the night before. Oatmeal with hemp hearts (high in protein) and 1 or 2 cups of various berries. I microwave it at work and eat it while I read emails. I have a Bunn coffee maker and I pour it and then get dressed and my coffee is ready to go to work with me. ( my hubby drinks the rest of the coffee when he gets up ) It is an hour and 15 min drive to work. My alarm goes off at 5 a.m. and I am out the door at 5:30 a.m.

I always cook a large meal on Sunday night - leftovers for a couple of days. They are usually my lunches too.

Thanks for the encouragement ladies! Day 2 and I got to work early again today with coffee in hand and breakfast ready for the microwave. :) It was great having a crock pot meal ready when I got home yesterday! I did have to do a little bit and today, plan to make a bigger meal, but it's all prepped and ready to go. We are having a carry in at work today (we have those way too often) and I brought a healthy corn salsa/salad (corn, black beans, avocado, onion, cilantro with lemon juice/olive oil/spices). My coworkers have committed to bringing fruits and veggies and the southern staple, fried chicken. LOL I don't find that terribly tempting, though, and if I do have any, I'll tear the skin off.

Lillian, I've never heard of hemp hearts. Where does one find those, and what is the flavor like? I can definitely get on board with oatmeal. It's one of my breakfast staples...I usually just use some non-fat milk to mix it and then a little brown sugar. Would be nice to cut out the sugar! (I do like peaches in it when I have some that are nice and fresh, too!!)

I buy my crushed hemp hearts in Costco. Some health food stores carry them too. They are nutty tasting.

I mix my oatmeal with water. My IBS has issues with milk products. I use seasonal berries when I can or else I buy frozen berries in Costco. I tend to stay away from fruits that are high in sugar. The sugar has the tendency to make me sluggish. Although I do like fresh peaches and I see they are in the store right now.

August goal is again 200+ miles. I'm going to keep track of active minutes even though I still don't like the way it keeps track of them. To often it doesn't work right. I don't know why.

Not sure what my August goal is - I think it is 230 for the month but with my foot hurting I am not sure. I plan to get an x-ray and go from there - keep putting it off because I really don't want to be told to stay off of it :(
