I have a crazy sweet tooth and I find it really hard to keep in check - so I am hoping Atkins will help me reduce my cravings. My cardiologist recommended this and I am really hoping it works!

Atkins helped me kick a 1k calorie bag of sour gummy worms a day habit. The first few weeks are tough but if you stick it out the cravings are manageable. There are tasty low carb ways to satisfy a sweet tooth.0

hahahaahha.. I used to joke I could live on wedding cake ( the worst right? white cake, white lard icing, ugh) and gummie bears… and yeah the sugar effect can ruin us.
For Deanna..there are so many helpful foods and sweeteners NOW that didn't exist in1972…pastry made with almond flour and coconut oil, Stevia, Erithyrol, Swerve, Truvia..ALL come in flavors too ( as well as liquid flavors you can buy like lemon meringue pie or hot cocoa- see Netrition- Capella Flavors)
Sweets are the hardest for me too and I am thankful I can whip up heavy cream and have berries buried in it. back in the 1970s all there was was sugar free Jello…so look for Low Carb recipes, MAKE THEM and then you won't be tempted. I just made a sweet 'protein bar" with many seeds & nuts, almond paste, chocolate, almonds, cashews, butter, etc…

Today is my first day of starting Atkins. I hope I can stick to it.
I already messed up tis morning by having my bowl of oatmeal like i do every morning, BUT i had it plain w/ only cinnamon n milk. I wont make that mistake again. its crustless quiches for me. I am going to miss my GRAINS. I hope phase 1 get over quick!0 -
been back on atkins for 1 week, down 11 pounds so far, I am doing old school atkins, hope your doing well with low carb0
