Hi. I've been using MFP since April 1st of this year and have lost 13 lbs. I just finally worked up the courage to join a group. I'm 40 years old, have diabetes, high blood pressure, and suffer with depression. At first I was doing really well, then my brother was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer in his lung and bone. I just lost my other brother to a heart attack 6 years ago and my mother 5 years before that. The doctor gave him 6 months to 1 year. Needless to say I fell off the "wagon"...so to speak....and having a hard time getting back on. It seems like even remembering to take my medication as I should is a challenge. I hoping to get back on track and could use all the support I can find.

You can do it! I've been there and am still working on it but getting healthier every day. As for remembering your pills get a days of the week pill container. It will make you feel old but help you remember what you did or didn't take. Then get a one day pill container for your purse & car--that way if you go someplace and realize you forgot to take your pills you have an extra day on hand in two places. And if you have a smart phone you can always set daily reminder alarms to remind yourself when to take them. Good luck!

It sounds like you've had a really rough time of it. No one can fault you for falling off the Wagon with what you have gone through. We are only human and have to remember that eating for us is a coping mechanism. Not a good one but it helped you get through and you are still here. I hope things turn around for you. Don't give up and give yourself credit for the strength that brought you to today. :)
