Sour cream and onion dip

I loves me some sour cream and onion dip. I'm not ashamed to admit I can eat it by the spoonful. A cup of sour cream has 7 g of protein but 10 g of carbs. This is not too far off from 8 oz. of milk. How horrible is this?

well.. if you follow 20 carbs a day…and on SOME days have HALF a cup of sour cream..can that work? 5 carbs is not bad at all if it keeps you on track.0

I use full fat Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. I don't remember the carbs, but I think it's less than sour cream. It just adds a bit more tang.0

greek yogurt has way more carbs than the sour cream I use... I use Daisy brand now, as it has half the carbs of any other brand I've found out there...0

Love the Daisy brand, no added nothing!
I make coconut milk yogurt and use that instead of sour cream. I log it as coconut milk, although in theory the cultures digest some of the carbs before I get to it.0 -
I really really really wished I liked or could even tolerate coconut flavor in anything. But I was the girl growing up who hated ocean water from Sonic because it tasted too coconutty. I can even tell when granola bars had coconut added. BLECH...0
