Another race in one month.....triathlon
Seriously need to work on nutrition and core strength.
1. Plan out more controlled calories on work days... Especially after work.
2. Focus on core exercises
3. Decrease 5k pace
4. Lose weight!!8g599g3cb91q.jpg

    Beautiful.

I have a half marathon on Sunday and a half ironman the following Saturday (I'm still tempted to change it to the international/olympic distance, as there's one going on at the same time and I believe they will let you switch down, but I am not going to). I have been doing better about not engaging in stupid snacking, but I think keeping a deficit is going to be challenging--my longer workouts just seem to throw me off so that I feel like I need more calories for recovery. That said, my report from last week and goals for this one:

    Last week:

    1. Stay within my calories (I believe I did for the week, although it was really up and down and largely due to some huge weekend workouts)
    2. Try to get at least 6 hours of sleep a night (I managed this some nights, but did poorly on others, kind of crashed on the weekend and napped after my long workout on Sunday and then felt bad afterwards -- I am not a good napper)
    3. Follow workout schedule (did this, mostly, but I subbed some running for swimming and blew off my Saturday swim to sleep in some, and because my weekend was already going to be crazy)
    4. Aim for 10,000 steps/day (6/7, but well over on several days)

    This week:

    1. Focus on sticking to planned meals, nutrition plan, no unplanned snacking
    2. Try to get the 6 hours (at least) of sleep
    3. Get in my workouts, especially the swimming
    4. 10,000 steps

    This week:

Reporting in, I've been good with the workouts, feeling good, getting in my steps even on biking days so far, even sleeping a bit better, but my eating is not great so far, mostly not keeping to my calories. I think I'm going to just try to keep to maintenance for the next week and a half -- if I manage a deficit, bonus, but I won't stress about it.

Today's goals: get in some strength training and a run.

Back from vacation in Maine, I ran in Maine and found running there is so much easier than in Colorado. More Air!!! It is different. Getting back into the swing of things now. Vacation is always a hiccup as food is not the same, and exercise is not the same. So glad to be back to a normal routine. Zumba tonight!

Well...I analyzed my work days and realized that I am up from 7am to 2am and eating wildly after work... So planned meals and small snacks during work hours. Cheat sheet in my pocket to remind me... Worked pretty good..... Overate on Saturday but did great after work yesterday! Ate yummy salmon in the car before coming home then just frozen yogurt bar once home... No after work pigout!!! Yes! A fist pump victory!

I am maintaining ok. I went up a few pounds and now back down. I think it was water weight from traveling. I don't need to lose any more weight according to DR, but I am toning. One lady at the gym asked how much more I lost because I looked so much smaller, I hadn't lost but my pants are looser and I do look smaller. Running is doing wonders for my legs. Calves are more muscular and smaller, waist which is my smallest part is really toning up as well. I want to lose another 10 pounds, but it is probably just vanity pounds at this time. I have been drinking lemon water and that seems to have opened some flood gates, if you know what I mean. I am feeling great!

Got Christmas goals too..... After meeting my year goal of a 8k race last October, I slacked off due to injury and family crisis and bad weather... Almost regained all the weight I had lost.... So refocused since March.... But losing this weight again has been so hard but working on it. ...
