Who's in for another 100 mile walking challenge for October? Great way to walk off those pounds before our weigh in at Thanksgiving.

October should be a great month for walking so join me please.

    I'm in.
    I need a challenge. I had a knee issue last week that included lots of inflammation and pain, and while I can still do lower body with the trainer (per orthopedic doc) , it must not involve pressure on the knee. For now, it's goodbye to squats, lunges and leg presses, but I can still walk! (not super fast or anything, but still)

    This walking challenge will motivate me not throw myself a pity party with food and the remote control as my only guests! ;)

    Whichever works for your schedule. The more frequent you check in the better.

    Glad you can at least walk. Hope your knee feels better soon. I have been there and it is so frustrating but we have to listen to our body.

    Count me in again. I know I didn't make 100 in September but that's ok. It was a tough month for me. Hard weather changes. Arthritis is a real pain in the patootie

    I will post my miles from September after I crawl in bed tonight.

    Great numbers coming in for September. I am sure some lbs were lost with all that activity.

    I will post final totals when I hear from everyone.

    We are here to encourage each other to move and be active. So these are just for fun and to be in competition only with ourself. If we just try to increase our totals each month we are succeeding.

    Will have to walk at Y or treadmill the next few days. Joaquin is headed to NC and we are supposed to get 8-12 inches of rain over weekend after it has rained last 7 days. Yesterday was fairly nice but did feel humid and tropical.

    Watch out guys. This coming week I will be in the land of malls and shopping and FOOTBALL STADIUMS!!!!!!!!! Not to mention airports. And my flights always and I mean ALWAYS land at the farthest point away from the main exit doors. I have a sneaky suspicion I will be getting 10000 steps and at least 3 flights of stairs on Monday. GO HAWKS!!!!!!! And my mixers are repaired so we need to pick them up. And the nearest parking is a block away. And we are taking the light rail so we don't have to worry about DWIs or paying boku bucks for parking. The station is over a block away. I have been having major troubles with my "good" knee the last couple days so I have been laying really low so as to preserve it for this week.
