If you add me as a friend you can see my food diary. Might be easier than setting everything out here!
I eat quite a variety of foods, but definitely a LOT more meat and eggs than I used to. I always used to be a big dairy eater though - LOVE cheese.0 -
I either have 2 eggs, slice chees or 2 eggs slice cheese and south western egg beaters for breakfast with coffee heavy cream and coconut oil (just started the coconut oil to help up my fat intake)
Lunch is a plan salad with ranch or what ever I feel like cooking (I am stay at home wife) dinner is always different, if I cook a fish that has pasta in it I will section a serving for me out and add boiled shredded cabbage. Snacks are always string cheese (if I even have snack I'm usually not hungry)0 -
Breakfast: if I am at home I usually have bacon and eggs. Or sometimes some veggies with cream cheese on them. If I am at work, I have a "muscle milk" usually out of the vending machine. This does have 3 grams sugar so if you are eliminating sugar that might not be a choice for everyone. It keeps me full until lunch.
Lunch: Week days I have a salad with chicken. Weekends, usually breakfast is late enough that I don't have lunch.
Dinner: Some kind of meat, veggies, with butter and sometimes cheese.0 -
I have celiac. LCHF fits that dietary need really well.
You are welcome to look at my diary. Look at September since I have been lax about logging lately.
I tend to have coffee with a half serving of protein powder, coconut cream, and a tsp coconut oil at about 8:00 and 11:00. I usually eat around 1-2:00, and that is often a leftover burger patty, or pepperoni sticks and cheese, or tuna with mayo and avocado, or nuts. Dinner is usually meat or seafood, or a meat based sauce (for pasta) or casserole. I usually eat raw veggies with cheese dip since my kids prefer raw veggies. My nighttime snack is usually macadamia nuts with xylitol sweetened chocolate chips and / or coconut.
I eat 1500 calories give or take 500.0 -
Breakfast: 1 hard boiled egg and 2 sausage patties
Lunch: typically a salad with hard boiled egg, cut up ham or other lunch meat, sunflower kernels, cucumber
Supper: some sort of meat, grilled chicken breast, hamburger patty, pork chop and then a side of typically cooked broccoli.
Snacks: string cheese, beef sticks, pork rinds, nuts (but am trying to cut back on those), ham/pickle roll-ups (ham, cream cheese, pickle wrapped up)
I bought a spaghetti squash yesterday that I want to try cooking this week. I have my boys this week (every other week custody with their father) and will make them regular spaghetti and I'll try the squash with spaghetti sauce.0 -
Today I had 40g porridge oats cooked with semi skimmed lactofree milk and with 10g of palm sugar on.
Lunch was scrambled eggs. Snack a little packet of biscuits which I didn't need and threw it wrong a bit but I have a crappy cold and just ate them mindlessly. Dinner is mince and veg - had planned quinoa but quite shocked how carby that is.
I am investigating other ideas. I like courgetti and lots of roasted veg with a nice piece of meat or fish. Puddings involve cocao powder and coconut milk but I have got out of the habit so need to kick my *kitten* back into the way of it!!0 -
Breakfast: sausage patty or 2, or 3 deviled eggs, or OMM-(basically a muffin in a mug made with coconut flour)
coffee with 1/4c whole milk and artificial sweetener
Lunch: open-faced sandwich (lunchmeat and melted cheese) on coconut flour flatbread
Snack: Pork rinds dipped in a sour cream based dip
Dinner: 2 or 3 servings of a non-starchy veggie (mixed with butter or bacon fat) and 5-6oz of a meat
That's my general pattern

breakfast: BPC. Over the weekend I baked some keto pumpkin spice chia muffins so I had that as a late breakfast after my workout, with a huge pat of butter.
Lunch: today was taco casserole plus sour cream plus deviled eggs. Usually it's some sort of casserole.
Dinner: doubt it, unless I make it out to the gym for workout #2.0 -

Thanks everyone this is super helpful. I think i might make up some burger patties for lunches.
Still trying to get my head around eating extra fat, still feels naughty after being conditioned in the whole low fat craze. I have been snacking on nuts and my work colleagues are like ohhh they are so bad you should have a low fat yoghurt....hmmm no!0 -
@chatnel, congratulations on beginning LCHF! Peruse all the diaries you can! It helped me learn what to eat too! Mine's open, but my logging is sporadic now. I did log consistently until I began to feel comfortable with my food choices, so from mid July, back to April is logged. I'm always up for new Pals!0

Friend me to see my diary.
I do use protein shakes more recently as had a plateau I needed to break. But 2 weeks ago was eating 3 meals a day.
Is it only for your intolerances or also weight loss?0 -
Lots of good idea's in here Here I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life on egg's and meat. Thanks for all the tips. I'll keep working at it and hopefully get this right.
See you all lighter

You can friend request me to see my diary!
I usually have coffee with heavy cream for breakfast on weekdays. Weekends I add eggs and sausage or bacon. Lunch is usually leftovers, tuna salad, or salads topped with meat and cheese. Snacks are cheese, pepperoni, pork rinds, and occasional keto dessert recipes or raspberries and 90% dark chocolate if I have the carbs. Dinner is usually meat with a low carb veggie or a casserole type dish of meat, cheese, and low carb veggies! Hope this helps!0 -
