I'm 45 and I've gained 10 pounds since I was laid off in May. I started using MFP a month ago and I've gained and lost the same 7 pounds about 3 times now! Now I'm down again and back to the gym and struggling with support.
I'm looking for partners in crime for this healthy living thing!0 -
Motivation is key. Most of my "friends" quit too so if you need more support, count me in!0

Hi! I'm a 47 year old woman trying to get fit to ski at Christmastime. Have been very slack with the gym the past 2-3 years, and also haven't been skiing in about the same amount of time. So, although this means I have gained weight, my primary concern is being strong having the strength and endurance to ski without my legs turning to jelly and without holding up my husband and my brother on the slopes. It's actually quite refreshing to have a fitness goal that does not involve what my body looks like. Instead, it involves how my body is functioning.0
