Hi everyone. I'm noemi. I'm 21 no kids. Work 2 jobs & currently doing online schooling. I started my journey July 2014 at my heaviest 240lbs I've lost some weight but have unfortunately crossed into a lot of bums on the rd. At one point I got down to 205 at my lightest but now I'm back to 215 I DO NOT want to go up or go back to 240. I'm scared that I will. I don't work out like I use to anymore. I use to go on difficult hikes 3-4 times a week and before hiking I would hit the gym a lot but my trail burned down and ever since I haven't worked out anymore. That's no excuse but I let it get to me. Also my diet is the biggest problem. I'm a midnight eater I'll get up in the middle of the night and eat. Been doing since I was a little girl. Have had some successful months not doing it but I let my habits come bk someotimea. Diet is key and defiantly need to work in thatz & I need whatever motivation I can get because I want to reach my goal weight.

    Heaviest weight :237
    Current weight :214
    Goal weight :200

    Goals.
    1. Diet
    2. Water
    3. Exercise

Hi, I am Karen, I will be the big 50 just before Christmas and would like to be at least on the road to a healthier me. I have 2 children daughter 14 and son 13 next week, I also have a home daycare so my eating isn't good. I eat usually standing and on the run as I have twin 1 yr old girls, a 2 yr and 3 and 4 yr old the rest are in school but those keep me on my feet. I have planned a family trip to Disneyland for Feb. and I feel if I don't get control on y eating then I won't be able to keep up with my family, none of them have any weight issues. I do think my daughter is starting on one, I think she is afraid to eat because of me she says no but not sure I believe her.
I know this is a long slow process but at the same time I want some weight off quick just so I see something that is working.
In total I need to lose about 80 lbs but I will be happy to lose 25 by the new

    Heaviest weight 250
    Current weight 242
    Goal for new year 210
    Ultimate goal is 160

    Here's to a new start

Hi, I'm Kari. I'm 27, married, and vegetarian. I lost 100 lbs back in 2008-2009. I maintained that loss for about 5 years until last year, then gained 30 lbs of it back right before deciding to get pregnant. I just had our son in late March and am currently about 6 lbs lower than my pre pregnancy weight. I need to lose about 24 more to get to my lowest weight again, but have 48 lbs in total to reach my ultimate goal of 175 lbs.

I workout regularly 4-5 days per week, and am passionate about Les Mills BodyCombat classes. I am currently trying to better myself and get closer to my goal before training to possibly become an instructor next year. I also love to run! This challenge will help me to get as close as reasonably possible by the new year!

    Highest Weight: 300
    Lowest Weight: 199
    Challenge Start Weight: 223.6
    Challenge Goal Weight: 208

    Goals:
    1. Stop snacking when not hungry
    2. Continue improving endurance/fitness
    3. Less sodium

    Hello :) I'm Jen. 24yo.
I'm going to be in Puerto Rico for the first time ever for Thanksgiving, so I'm pretty exciting. I just want to get back to my lowest weight--which is about 10lbs away.

Thanks for making this group--great idea; I love accountability.

Hi everyone, I'm Kristen and I'm 43 and single. I attended a friend's wedding last week with my dream date and I was so disappointed when I saw how I looked in the pictures. It really bothered me and got me to think seriously about my weight. I have a small frame and I should probably weigh 135 at my height, but I let myself get out of shape and now I have a lot of weight to lose. I have a winter gala in February and I'd like to be my ideal weight by then. My intermediate goal is 20 lbs by new year's. I'm trying to get to the gym and eat clean, but I have a real hard time with snacking in the evenings. I could use support, so please friend me if you're interested in following each other through the challenge.

    Starting weight: 181
    New year's goal: 160

Here is a spreadsheet for everyone to use. If you posted your goals in here, then I have already added you to the tracker, just find your name each week and put in the current weight, and any other goal numbers.

Howdy from sunny South Africa. I have three furkids (Ok, one is scaly) at home and an abundance of furry, scaly, feathered, spikey, creepy, slimy kids at work - yes, it is a zoo! I am a lover of sea, sand and sun and looking forward to rocking my bikini on the beach soon. I have become a bit of a fitness fanatic this year, which has helped me lose most of my excess weight and tone down incredibly. As soon as I get OK from my physio (knee surgery last month) I will be back to my normal life which includes fencing, Brazilian Jui Jitsu, MMA fitness, weights, running, swimming, yoga.

Starting weight: 92.5 kgs (203,9 pounds)
    Jan 2015: 88 kgs (194 pounds)
    27 Oct 2015: 71.4 kgs (157.4 pounds)
Challenge goal: 68 kgs (150 pounds) or less
Ultimate Goal weight: somewhere around 60 kgs (132 pounds) I think

My focus has been this year to get fit and strong, and that led naturally to weight loss and I craved healthy foods. I am not sure of an actual weight goal, but I will keep doing what I am and expect that once I hit the right weight for me, it will be much harder to drop. Plus, I plan to keep making stronger muscles.

    Friend requests welcome...

Paul, not a mother of any boys  nor a father of anyone for that matter.

    MFP start weight: 319
    Challenge Start Weight: 274
    Challenge Goal Weight: 255

Love this, Paul. I too am not a father of anyone. I am a mother, but only to non-humans (and that would not be a birth mother either)!

Hi, I am Mary, 60 years old here in Bethlehem PA and wanting to plan for 20 more!

I started to turn diabetic early in 2015 but have lost 25 pounds and need to lose 25 more.
Really this has got to be permanent this time!

Would love to go into the New Year having lost at least 15 pounds from this date.

I have two adult sons, both very overweight and feel guilty that they have my genes for overweight AND adopted bad eating habits. Planning on gifting them airline tickets for Christmas as a motivator to get in better shape to see the sights!

Hi All! I am Maica. Been so long since I've been really active here in MFP. I am a 29 yr old homebased working mom to a 2 yrs old son. I am very petite as I am Asian. Small-framed. I am supposed to be already under a normal BMI but I am still kind of chubby and I still have considerable flabs. I really don't think the standard BMI fits many Asians. I am trying to lose weight, especially that Christmas and New Year is coming. I should be able to afford to gain a little weight by that time because it will also be an eating season.

    Height: 5'0"
Highest Weight: 119 lbs (132 lbs during full term pregnancy)
    Challenge Start Weight: 100 lbs
Challenge Goal Weight: 90 lbs at the very least
UGW: 85 lbs (I've been in this weight before and I look alright but I will stop when I think it is already an unhealthy look)

    Fitness & Health Goals:
    1. Establish an exercise routine.
    2. Be able to eat intuitively.
    3. Be able to eat more wholesome foods.
    4. Be able to lessen carb and sugar intake.

You and I are the same height! And i consider myself fairly petite but I weigh more than you lol. But I am fairly "dense" and I'm not willing to give up a lot of my muscle. It'll be interesting to have someone in the mix whose goals are more similar to mine, though :)

I'm Liz and my weight loss journey has been a struggle. I started running a few years ago, triathlon recently, and though I'm not eating McDonald's on the reg now, I am not seeing the scale dip more than 10 lbs and then I get discouraged put it all back on!

I am in my friend's wedding in 2016 so would like to look more in shape by then.

    Challenge Start Weight: 162
    Challenge Goal Weight: 145

I'm going to add a couple to this.

My long term goal is 130-135 ish.

My goal is to stick my triathlon coach's mid-week plan, which means doing ALL my swims and ALL my strength training sessions. I'm also trying to become a stronger cyclist so I plan to bike 3 times a week

Hi my name is Carl. I am 55 and my two children have moved on. I am now married but I often feel alone because my partner has stopped being so active and I am left to my own motivation joining activities with new friends. Its hard being self-motivated and I do feel the fear of going out alone to join activities with others.

I enjoy (Ashtanga) yoga because I can socialise with others but my own mat is my own personal space. I also meet with another group of friends to go sea swimming and I suppose we share the sea of course but again, I get to control my own space.

I am 5'3" and my ultimate weight goal is 140 then to reassess and lose more if healthy to do so (I could be 130-ish and still be within BMI range). The lighter I can be and be healthy, the easier my yoga practise will become.

My highest weight has been: 190
    Challenge start weight is: 166
Challenge goal weight is: 158. Starting this challenge late, at 1lb per week for 8 weeks left to the New Year.

    Fitness & health goals
    1. No more late night snacking.
    2. Do yoga every day and keep my swim meets up even if it means travelling out alone.
    3. Walk my dog every day - we both need it.
