Ok so today marks my official month into the Keto lifestyle. I love it so far. But I'm so friggin tired. I can't get up in the morning, I sleep like a log (which I love), but I'm exhausted through the day, I NEED a nap everyday after work before the gym, then I get home and I'm exhausted. Is this normal still? I get about 3000mgs of sodium. I eat 1400-1500 calories.
This week seems worse than ever, I've been late to work everyday. Any advice?

Your adapting! Welcome keto flu! Ugh! I know 3000 mg seems like a lot of salt, but to get through adaptation some will need closer to 5000mg.0

Okay..so this won't last right? Lol
I just figured j was adapted after a month.
I will try upping my sodium0 -
No, it won't last. And if you can get some coconut oil in the mornings, you'll be shocked at the boost of energy!! You're nearing the end of the misery... And yeah, up that salt!0

Tired during the day = too little sleep.
Are you eating to satisfy hunger? If not, try eating until you're satisfied.
When I went low carb, my sleep normalized for the first time in a LONG time. My theory is that the reduction in insulin somehow made me more sensitive to melatonin.
But stress will mess with your sleep. Too few calories. Even too few carbs. Too much exercise. Other stressors? Reduce whatever stress you can. Maybe try taking a break from exercise for a while if the sleep/tired issue continues.0 -
I've been experiencing the sleepiness too. Not so much tired..but sleepy! There have been a few times after work where I was so sleepy that I felt like if I didn't take a nap I would get sick. I'm still struggling with getting the 5000mg of sodium. I'm only averaging around 3000. I guess I need to work harder on that one.0

Low sodium gives you more of a "blah" sort of fatigue in my experience.
Sleepiness is your body telling you that you need more sleep.
Carbs used to give me that feeling. Now exercise does. Or simple lack of sufficient sleep.0
