Well, today is my weigh-in day:

SW: 156
LW: 137
TW: 135.5
Loss: -1.5

Yay! Finally a pretty good loss. . .more than one pound is tough for me.

Went out to lunch with my sister today. Speaking about family health issues here was on point for getting together with her today. She had to postpone major back surgery a month ago due to very poor kidney function tests. She's been battling that in order to get approved for this surgery, which has been re-scheduled for Nov 16. I'm really nervous about this surgery. They plan to replace disks with rods, pins, screws, etc. If she can get relief from her pain (she can hardly walk), then it's worth it. But, from my experience with hubby's two surgeries on his neck disks, I'm skeptical. She's been in pain for eight years, and really wants this, so of course I'm supportive. If only she had not gotten so overweight! She's had knee replacement, and now this. :'( She has six children and 10 grandchildren, and she does way too much for them and her husband (who has had a major heart attack and heart surgery) and very little for herself. I help a much as I can, but Lois and Sarah, you're correct . . . life choices. And coming home and looking in the "treat drawer" brings it home for me too!

Off to the treadmill.

I never thought that I'd be grateful for getting nowhere. But I was honestly surprised this morning that I wasn't back up to 147 given the Halloween candy, the Cheez-its, and the stress this week.

You are my inspiration Sheesh. A pound and half for us shorties is more than good.

And it seems that we continue to have a lot in common. My sister has been in pain from her back for many years. She has had several surgeries. One or two really helped, one created new problems, and the last one, just didn't seem to do anything at all. She is in pain almost all the time. I hope your sister gets a good result. We have a friend who had major back surgery about two years ago now, and it made a big, positive difference for him. Perhaps your sister will also be lucky and get some relief.
