Happy with HbA1c result

I had an HbA1c test done last Friday and the result was 4.9% or 30mmol/mol and "Excellent control; increased risk of hypoglycaemia if on insulin/sulphonylureas".
I have been keto for many months, then upped my carbs at the end of September, upped them a little again in October. I'm pleased that it has stayed under control even when adding carbs.
Just wanted to share how happy I was. I had gestational diabetes in 2012 and was high risk of developing type 2, I was prediabetic in 2014 and on the verge of diabetes.
Thanks for all the help I've had on here.

Congrats on truly great results! That is square in the non-diabetic range, better than most non-diabetics.

Great number, especially with your increased carb level. What is your carb level now? I'm getting my A1C measured tomorrow, fingers crossed!0

Great job. Thanks for sharing on MFP forums.
Today I was reading how Type 2 diabetes can carry a 2x risk for some types of cancer and learned a non diabetic with an elevated HbA1c was at a greater risk of cancer per some research papers.
So clearly in some ways pre Type 2 diabetes needs to be addressed head on.0
