1.lose one pound.
2. 100% logging
3. Lower work calories a smidge(100 calories)
4. Run thanksgiving race with joy and no injury.
5. Be like Cumberland granny and work out in yard.
6. Be so careful around desserts this week as I bake for Thursday's big family dinner

3) take vitamins
4) get to my in laws and then home again with my family safely
5) exercise 3-4 days this week
6) don't over indulge on thurday0 -
I got a decent amount of sleep for the first time in forever last night and am feeling almost normal today, and think I might actually start participating in this challenge, finally.
My goals for the week are:
(1) start logging again
(2) get back to eating only at meals (desserts can be included as part of a meal, as appropriate, if logged, of course)
(3) really focus on sleeping an adequate amount
(4) work on positive stress management
(5) get all my workouts in!
(6) have fun running my after Thanksgiving half marathon on Saturday (I'm kind of out of shape, so will treat it as another fun run and not push for a PR)
I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving -- will just have my sister and a few others over and a smaller menu, and I have no other going out plans this weekend (I've been going out a bunch), so it may not be a difficult week at all, oddly enough. And I love hosting Thanksgiving.
On the other hand, we finally got our first real snow on Friday night through Saturday, mixed with icy rain, which promptly turned to ice on Sunday when it got cold, so my long run plan on Sunday did not happen. I'm hoping it will all melt by the end of today and will be running tomorrow morning, but also I bought some Yak Tracks on Sunday, so will be interested to try those out. Ice is always my biggest issue with winter running, since I'm a sidewalk runner, mostly, and our sidewalks can be pretty slick.0 -
My goals for the week continue to be:
1. Log daily
2. Avoid processed foods
3. Sleep 7 to 8 hours each night
4. Be active each day
For Thanksgiving, we are going to visit my husband's aunt. I have offered to bring the entire meal for two reasons. (1) She doesn't get around all that well. So I don't want her to have to go to any trouble. (2) I can control what goes into the foods that I bring. She will be making a pecan pie. My husband and sons will enjoy that.0 -
Lemurcat12... Realizing from you guys that sleep has got to be one of my goals too... Have a great race.... I have two fun 5k planned for this year... First serious race end of Jan.... Ten mile beach and trail run... Have to run across to an island during low tide! So grateful to be healthy and get to run!!0

Just over the last few days sleeping well has made a 180 degree difference in how I feel. So much better.
That January race sounds hard but fun!
I'm going to try to get into the winter running this year (failed at that last year). It's been pretty mild so far to help me out. The plan is the half marathon this Saturday (for fun, training run), one in western Washington in late December (I am visiting my parents for Christmas), and then one on Jan 23 here, which could be brutal, weather-wise. I'll try to get a PR in December, as I should have time to whip myself back into shape by then -- that's perhaps one of my big goals for this challenge.
I also may try to do some trail runs. There's a tough one (about 7.5 miles) in the Kickapoo State Park south of here on Jan 2 that I did years ago and might try to do. It's usually lots of snow and up and down some.0 -
This week is a tough one for me. My daughter's birthday was yesterday and she turned 1. We had a pizza party and cupcakes, but we are having a party for her Saturday. Not to mention 2 dinners to go to on Thanksgiving. So, my goals this week are simple
1. Log everything into MFP
2. Drink at least 80 oz of water each day.
3. Get in at least 10,000 steps per day.
4. Workout at least 30 minutes per day (walking or cardio)
5. Lose 1 lb (or at least maintain through the holiday).0 -

@barbhat13 Consider it a blessing I worked all day and when I got home my sister in law didn't send home anything for me. But she called me and asked me what I was eating and I said well I'm making some stove top and I'm having a piece of cold cut from the deli that's sitting in the fridge. LOL I did not go over my calories.0

That's certainly a way of looking at the bright side of the day!0
