Kelly, I feel your pain! I forgot to weigh this morning before I dressed. It has been a hectic morning. I needed to get soup on to freeze for the holidays and we had to get things moved in the house because window washers are coming today.

I weighted my exact 146.2 yesterday morning, and weighing in my sweater and jeans, I think I'm up a little from that today. I weigh 150.0 clothed and I guess jeans, sweater, socks and undies weigh about 3 pounds.

    SW: 153
    LW: 146.0
    TW: 147.0

My stats don't look that bad, but something has to give. Here are my averages for the past 7 days:

    Calories burned: 1755
    Intake: 1462
    Difference: -293
    Active minutes: 34
    Steps: 9520

My intake includes 100 extra calories per day for human error. I've tried to log faithfully, but maybe I need to up that to 200. Still, it appears that if I want to lose, I have to get that difference to be greater. Same song, same verse. :-(

I need to find time to get my Fitbit going so I have a month to look at the differences in the two devices but between work, holiday prep and social obligations, and still taking care of some family obligations, finding even a few minutes of time for anything extra is pretty hard right now.

    Loss of 1 pound

I actually weighed 131.6 yesterday morning, but had no time to post. I'm betting the rate will slow down now. I really wanted to get into the 120's by Xmas! :|

Kelly, you're going to see results soon! Just keep moving. Sorry about your Fitbit trouble, but their customer service is really good.

Sarah, I can't figure out why you're not losing. Your stats are good. My calculations came up with a pound lost every 12 days for you. Maybe you need your thyroid med increased?? The only other thing I can think is that you could try "shocking" your body with some high intensity exercise mixed in with your walking, or lower your calorie intake every other day, or something similar. Maybe after the holiday stress you could experiment. Just an idea..

You're still doing great, Sheesh, and thanks for the feedback. Indeed my plan for the new year is to do something different. I know that with a new campaign launching and getting a new manager that my work will still be stressful and that I may still be working long hours. But I will at least have the holidays and all they entail behind me.

Also, since January 31 is "lights out" day for BodyMedia, change is inevitable. I remember the day the BodyBugg site went down. Change. It seems to be inevitable with everything about me but my weight!

Regarding my stats, they do seem okay, so that's pretty much proof that the numbers aren't everything. I think the metabolism does adjust to get your body to hold on to its energy stores (fat) and so you have to shake it up. I think that's why I lost so well when I first strapped on the BodyBugg--I made changes. Now those changes are the just the norm.

So what I need is a new normal--in the right direction, of course.

Sarah...I am so excited for you to get on the Fitbit bandwagon with us!!! We can have all sorts of daily and weekly and weekend challenges.

Kelly and SHeesh - loving reading your updates. I'm a bit of a voyeur these days. Sorry. I'm getting closer to being back in the groove. I have decided to NOT step on the scale until I get back from Hawaii. I'm not going to fret over the numbers during the holiday this week nor while I'm on vacation. I'll get on track when I return. I'm going to be preparing now to get myself on track when I return (including making some dishes this next week to freeze for when I return). I can and will do it! I do love the encouragement from all of you! Your special messages to me are very much appreciated.

My back is very slowly getting better and I hope it will be awesome by the time we get on the plane next week. Come heck or high water, I am hiking and doing my sports while in Hawaii!!!

Aloha everyone and Mele Kalikimaka!!! just in case I don't get to jump back online. Lots to do: pack, clean the house for guests, Christmas Eve open house, Christmas day dinner for 14 and then ALOOOOOHHHAAAA!!! Gotta finish decorating and cleaning today.

everyone is doing well so it seems, congrats to all for hanging in there and for the losses that have happened. Kelly, I am with you in regards to the salt and though I am up in my weight, I seriously have to blame it on the ham, Spanish potato salad (with LOTS of olive and brine in it) for the office pot luck and left overs (can't let that good stuff go to waste...) I was up after the dinner out with the company and jumped up another 5 lbs overnight after the office pot luck so won't let the extra pounds right now discourage me... just gotta get really low salt for a while so I can flush it out.

I haven't been able to log in /read much since before THanksgiving... sorry to be missing. Also sorry for what I've not been able to read and catch up on. Shouldn't be on here now, with all the stuff I have to do before heading out this morning but I did want to take the time to say Merry Christmas to all of you and give my wishes for all to have a happy and healthy new year, and safe travels to any who are going places. Yeah to Sarah for her new fitbit! I think you'll really love it, Sarah.

I pick mom up at the airport today and so may not have much computer time until she leaves mid January. It's been crazy busy trying to keep up with work, prepare the music specials I am presenting and then prepare for a welcome but last minute/unexpected house guest. Once Christmas gets here, things will slow down a bit I think. We'll see... this is still our busy time at work and we have a big project going company wide which has needed my involvement, oh my... Wish they had started that a few months ago instead of just last week when everything else was happening.

anyways, Lois, have a great visit with family in Hawaii, and Merry Christmas/Happy New Year to all...
