Last night my mom and I did a simple stretch with Tony Little. It was great for her. I followed it up with some kettle swings. And yes, we got alot of the white stuff. It did not get above 9 degrees yesterday. It will be awhile before the side streets are clear. Quite dangerous now.

    Progress is Progress!

Do you have to drive in that stuff, Shelley? ugh! Be careful and stay warm! Good job working out w/your mom!

Walked w/DH early this morning (total 5.97 miles for 12,713 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.25 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Castle.

    One pound at a time!

I wish it was a pound! Today I'm at the same exact weight that I was on Dec 1st...that is so sad!! 139.2...**sigh**

Okay, today DDD and I hit the gym w/our trainer for a 60 min killer workout then I walked w/DH and Bean (total miles 6.88 for 15,020 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.75 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Castle. It was a good Tuesday!

All the relatives are gone. Had lots of fun so now I'm getting back to my normal routine. I am going to stay away from the evil chocolate at work, and reduce my cocktail intake.

    Thanks Paula. A photo, hmmm.

Yes Chris I drive in it daily. And I always try to stay warm. -2 on the way to work this morning. Great job working out. And I would be happy that I did not gain during Christmas! Smile my friend.

Clara my mom leaves on the 5th. Then I will avoid the evil chocolate and all the fun she and I have been having! :)

I was 202.8 this morning. That's the good news. The bad news...I have a leak in my kitchen. This rain will not stop. Called my insurance company and they have to call back to set up an inspection. They are behind with so many calls.

This has not been a good couple of weeks. Between my mom and several other issues I'm really stressed.

At least I have NYE to look forward to with Ron. He returned today from Christmas with his family today. Can't wait to see him and have a couple of adult beverages. And yes we are staying in.

    Happy New Year.

My future self will thank me! :D

    Clara, glad you had fun!

Shelley, ugh...I can't imagine -2 degrees...I was just loudly complaining about 36 degrees this morning...I'm a wimp! And you are so right. I am happy I made it this far and stayed the same weight!! The kids are coming over tomorrow and we are having Mexican take out and watching movies. I don't think I'll be drinking, and I don't think there will be any dessert. I'm not going to mention it...let's see what happens to the scale Friday morning. I won't weigh in until Sunday though.

Kathy, I'm so sorry about your leaky kitchen! We had a leak in our hallway in the old house. The house was built on a concrete slab. Pipes were encased in concrete...there were these cracks...At first we thought our cat wet in the hallway then realized there was a lot of wet... They pulled back the carpet...turned on turbo fans to dry it out and we ended up having all the plumbing pipes run through the roof. What a mess. Have fun with Ron!

Walked w/DH this morning in the freezing cold (5.20 total miles for 11,147 steps so far) then got on the bike for 15.0 miles in 53 mins and an episode of Agent X then went over to DDD's so DH could work on her computer. Now I'm going to read!!

    Back tomorrow!

Chris you crack me up. You blamed the poor cat! That cat had a huge bladder. Freezing cold walk. Was that 36°? Because here we call that a heat wave! We are going out for pizza this weekend. So let's have a fun day and back on our sensible eating and exercises. :smirk:

Kathy I was in a flood once. A flash flood. Left my basement flooded. I so feel your pain. Hope your mom is feeling better. Have a great time with Ron. And I hope you dry out.

Ok I will restart our mini challenge for January. I do believe it will be better than December. But I think December was a success!

The holidays are over. Stop eating like they're not!

Paula...YES!! Success in the new year!!!

Clara...hope you are feeling better soon!

Walked a bit this afternoon w/DH and Bean but DH wasn't feeling well so it was cut short. I did get on the bike for 13.10 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Agent X! It was pretty cold today!

Eating was under control! NO JUNK FOOD or TRIGGER FOOD for me today!

Hope you all had a great day!

    Yep, Holidays are over!

Did my KCM this morning and walked the boys. It was almost 20 degrees! I bundled up in my down coat. Did a little yoga also. But my eating was deplorable. Mom will be gone Tuesday. But this last weekend I am going to enjoy with her. Just mainly working on exercise becoming a better habit again.

    Clara get better soon. <3

Chris great job! One day at a time.

Paula thanks for the positive thought. :drinker:

Chris thanks! I am enjoying her. We watched "sisters" today at the theatre. It was rather hilarious. But very adult themed. Then tonight we went to the Pizza Ranch for dinner. Took the entire family. Daughter and her hubby and two kiddos. Son and his significant other and their 4 kiddos. Plus another kiddo who is a friend. Loads of fun.

Then I was a bad girl. I bought a few new corals and a fish. The corals were really nice. Hyacinths bird nest, purple plating montipora, blueberry acropora and another one with red polyps. So I spent the 100 my mom gave me and borrowed another few against the meals I will not be eating out for the next two months.

Walked the boys and did an upper body KCM DVD. It was a great workout!

Shelley it sounds like you had a blast with your family and being a bad girl! Good way to make sure someone is cooking at home too!!

Today is my REST DAY...I weighed in at 138.4 at 7:30 this morning. I'm happy. I didn't weigh in at the meeting...I'll weigh in at my regular meeting on Friday...hoping for a much lower number.

Going shopping w/DDD and SIL this afternoon.

I hope you are all having a fine Sunday!

I'm trying to take things under control by being proactive. This morning I planned my meals for the week, went to the grocery store and I'm cooking and watching the Falcons game. I stooped by the dollar store and bought more individual containers to store meals. I don't want my busy life to continue to be the reason or excuse for not getting healthy.

I'm making Grilled Chicken Veggie Bowls, healthy Chili and a Chipotle Salmon dish. Chicken and chili dishes are each enough for 4 meals for me and 4 for my BFF. The salmon is something I want to try. This gives me lunch & dinner especially on those days I have tennis practices.

I'm going to see how this works for me. One positive is I spent a lot less on groceries...no junk food. I stuck with my list and only added a few staples that I needed.

Back to the kitchen...by way of the TV! :)

Kathy...GREAT JOB!!!! I have always found that the easiest way to do thing. Then I don't have to think about what to cook each day. Excellent! Keep us posted.
