So the holidays are now over, and I have really struggled getting back to my WOE. I have decided that it must be liken unto an alcoholic. You cant just have a drink and be ok. Christmas time killed me. I gained a few pounds less than 5 and talked to my nutritionist today and she calmed my fears. I am on track today. I wasn't have a cheat day it was a cheat month. Ok. I am letting out a big breath. Why is it I always do really well for about 40-50 pound weight loss then, boom, I let it go? I guess that is why I need all your support. I refuse to repeat. I am chasing so fearful ghosts around I don't want to join them. My two brothers died at 67 and 62 and my mom at 67, I just turned 67. I refuse to repeat history! My plan is for 85 to 90 years old. Anyway, I am sharing my issue for this year. I have to get past 67 yrs old! Maybe that is why I am stress eating--I really didn't want to turn 67. Well I am here, and I am healthy. Thanks for letting me vent. B

I am just starting back after eating "USDA Recommended style"---back to low carb and it is hard. Food I do better without is everywhere and food I do great with is something that must be intentionally prepared. You have to be prepared and have a plan all of the time---that is my personal truth at this point anyway. I have been telling people that I am "eating low carb" like it is diet or something. But, the truth is my biology can't handle bread, noodles, cake, sugar etc. I do great on meat and vegetables. But the good news is after that first week or two, my head is clearer and my resolve it there. SO, I propose just celebrating where you are today and not looking back. It is a positive thing that you enjoyed your holidays but that you were not lost in them. I have been "lost" for... years? I was even oblivious to the fact that I had a weight problem until 2 weeks ago. I mean I knew I was a couple sizes heavy, but I had no idea I was 75 pounds overweight and frankly. fat as butter. All the best to you as your success is born out of your grief. And, I truly admire your courage.0

Sitting at MCDONALD'S clearly based on food on tables and associated BMI's carbs are the in food group. At 63 with failing health I was not able to wean off carbs so 15 months ago I left all grains and most all sugars cold turkey. Health is better than in 20 years and under 200 pounds for first time in 22 years.0

Hi Beverly.
My name is Alexus and I am addicted to carbs.
I'm a total foodie for almost anything. I lack self-control when it comes to portions and carbs. You and I together can beat this addiction!!!! Congratulations on the lbs that you have lost!!!!!!0
