I find it harder to control the carb intake with the GF foods! I was so excited whenever I found something that said "Gluten free" that I didn't even bother to look at any other nutritional info. I was warned by a coworker who is Celiac and has been living with it for years, that I would gain weight if I wasn't careful...she was so right!

I try to stay away from processed foods. I agree that processed gluten free foods will not help you!! They are simply gluten free junk food.0

I've been staying away from processed gluten-free foods (with the exception of pasta as an occasional treat) and have been instead focusing on eating foods that are naturally gluten-free (such as fruits, vegetables, nuts, some dairy, meats). Instead of having pasta, I'll make zucchini noodles or spaghetti squash. Rather than having flavoured rice, I'll eat wild rice. Of course I do still have gluten-free cookies or cupcakes when I feel the urge - some are actually pretty yummy!1

I don't buy gluten free processed foods anymore I just binged on them.1
