Walked w/DH and Bean this morning...it was so cold and windy!! then got on the recumbent for an episode of Castle then went to 1st grade then managed a 3 1/2 minute plank then 40 assisted pull ups then a 30 minute kettlebell workout. I'm done!! Eating and reading is all I'm doing for the rest of the evening.

Hope everyone had a great weekend and a nice Monday! ;)

The wind knocked over a tree and took out our power up here yesterday. No lights, no computer, no MFP, no FitFam

Walked outside after work and thought "it's still light" and despite wearing heals, was ready to start walking then the cold cut thru my coat and I got in the car and turned up the heater and headed home instead.

    Super cold and windy!
    Eating well though.

    Wishing you all well too!

I completed KCM -Weights. I did workout 2 biceps, triceps and shoulders with 5 pound weights. Legs are still recovering from tennis practice. I really liked the workout but the last part that was mostly biceps I definitely needed a heavier weight. Planning to buy 7 pounders this week.

Also got in 5,437 steps for 2.27 miles.

Headed to the office this morning and tennis practice after work.

    Have a great Tuesday.

My poor Paula. Glad you are back. <3

Chris I so need to do some kettle bells soon. Love that workout!

Kathy so knew you would be working up in weights quickly. :drinker: I sometimes double up on weights. Put a small weight with the 5 pounder. Then you can quickly put one down if it becomes to much. Great workout!

Only got in 15 min on stationary bike this am, but proud of that. My sister in law is staying with us again, as my sweet MIL is dying. Not sure when the end will be but it's coming. We're going to walk tomorrow as we have to take care of ourselves as well as her.

15 minutes is great for the soul. Hugs to you. :heartbreak:

Kathy I really pushed my weights with KLC yesterday. Did Muscle Definition #2. Did it using mostly 10's and 12's. I felt great. That is until today. Did the same one, but with my 7 pound ones. Muahaha

Paula I would have headed for the heat also.

Chris love those planks. Are you on a challenge?

Also got in a little stretch and 30 minute brisk walk.

Paula, that damn wind just gets in the way of everything...I'm tellin' you!! The cold is so biting...heavy long-sleeved shirt, sweatshirt (from Morro Bay), and heavy jacket couldn't keep it out! I even wore two pair of gloves! I'm glad you are back together.

Kathy, nice workout. Heavier weights make a big difference. Yesterday I used all my kettlebells...10, 12, 15!!

Clara, do take care of yourself. I know it's a hard time for you and everyone in your family.

Shelley, those planks are getting me though. Had to do a downward facing dog in the middle of today's plank. My back was talking to me. It's a challenge with a friend who isn't on MFP.

Walked w/DH and Bean this morning for 4.10 miles in 90 mins (6.61 total miles for 14,381 steps)...it was so cold again today!! then got on the recumbent for 13.00 miles and an episode of Castle then went to 1st grade then managed a 3 1/2 minute plank. I'm done!! Eating and reading is all I'm doing for the rest of the evening.

I took a break and went walking today. Tomorrow is bike Wednesday (if it doesn't rain) and Thursday, I'm taking the train to SF and walking to the MFP HQ - not the best neighborhood but should be okay during the day.

Chris those planks and that time is a killer. I think we got up to around 5 minutes in that plank challenge a couple years ago. Great to have a friend to do it with! The wind here is always biting. I wear a sweater and then a down coat over it. Really helps.

    Paula take care tomorrow!

Got in my walk, and a short stretch. Then I did a con legs and abs. The New York one. I really liked it. There were some challenging parts. :drinker:

Paula and Chris we are all on here!

Shelley, I'm looking into down underwear!!

Walked w/DH and Bean then got on the bike for 13.75 miles and part of G.I. Joe Retribution...lots of blowing things up! Then I went to 1st grade then I planked for 2 mins then I worked out to KCM's Slim Sculpting...second circuit is four 30 second planks!!! bwahahahah!!! I didn't do my pull ups today.

Our trainer insists that planking more than a minute isn't necessary. I'm still in the challenge and will continue to cheer my friend along, but I'm only going to hold the plank until my back starts talking to me. Today it started at two mins, so I stopped.

Got my fingers crossed for my weigh in tomorrow...I was up 1.4 this morning...ugh! Hoping it was from last night workout at the gym. We'll see.

    Friday will be great!!

Chris I am happy to say they do NOT make down underwear!! Muahaha A minute plank would seem so....nothing to you now. :drinker: Keep cheering your friend on!

Good luck on your weigh in!

Oh, man, Shelley...I've been looking everyWEAR!!!! bwahahah...sorry~

Went to the gym w/DDD for 40 muscle-crushing mins then walked w/DH for 5 miles then got on the bike for 12.50 miles in 45 mins. I still have a plank to do but needed food!! I do have to make a short grocery store run and then I'm done!! It's a gorgeous day outside! Great weather for the Super Bowl.

    Have a great Saturday everyone!!!

Nice job Chris. So glad I could help you out with that search! Ok, posted in the wrong place, again!

This morning I was 147.2. I was so shocked had to weigh again. Yep, it was correct. I know it will be higher tomorrow, but I had fun today!

Down has long been the sportsman's choice for unbeatable warmth. Wear this all-new updated underwear on just one bitter cold day, and you'll quickly see why. The high-loft Cabela's Premier Northern™ Goose Down is guaranteed to loft to 550 cu. in per oz. More loft means more dead space for warm air to be trapped in. This trapped air creates a comfortable micro-climate around your body that is impenetrable to outside air. For added warmth retention we added a Therma-stat® collar and half-glove, thumb-hole cuffs to the top. The five-snap placket allows you to close up the top for total thermal protection or open it for ventilation when needed. The drawers also feature long Thermastat® cuffs that stay tucked into boots and socks, and a zippered fly. The outer shell is constructed of rugged, soft-touch nylon that helps repel moisture and feels comfortable and warm against the skin. Imported.

And I have Amazon Prime...I can get them here by Tuesday!!!

The five-snap placket allows you to close up the top for total thermal protection or open it for ventilation when needed. This is a very important feature...then ventilation part. Especially after a day of bean soup or raisins!!

    Thanks, Paula!!

Today I lost two pounds, probably from nervous juices in my tummy. Those random pounds...
Had a conference call with my brothers - we act as a triumvirate to help my Mom.
Called back a neighbor to say I'd gotten a good look at the stray in my backyard and it wasn't hers.
Slept for 4 hours because I was too nervous to sleep last night.
Then watched Super Bowl w/DH - sans food.
Set up a private group for Free People of LOTR.
Confirmed an order for more pretties. (sungites and sugilites and chalcedonies and more...)
Cleaned off kitchen table  washed dishes, other stuff.
Thought about TRX or KCM or walking. Does thinking count?

Darn it, Shelley, is that why thinking about the weight just falling off doesn't work? Is that what you're sayin'? Oh, man...all these years of deliberate concentration...all for nothing!! :o egad! :s

Paula, I should have joined your group in LOTR. I'm not having much fun. Partnered w/someone I don't know. ugh!

Chris, People are always welcome to drop out of the teams and join the free people. But it's not as much challenge when our scores don't count. So there aren't very many active people there (and there will be less when those that are active leave to fill vacated slots on the teams). But until then, they're mine...

My partner's fun. She has me eating lentils this week.

I switched it up today and did a Leslie Sansone DVD. I got in 9,147 steps for 3.89 miles. Why couldn't I hit 10,000...lazy. Back to KCM tomorrow.

So my BFF and I made our decisions about Lent. I'm giving up chips, drinking a minimum of 64 oz water daily and...drumroll please...logging my food daily. Journaling has been the thing I've been most inconsistent with through this process.

Wish me luck with the chips...going 45 days without them will require lots of prayer...it is the season. :)

Paula I so do not like lentils!

Chris silly girl, you must do the work! Not just think about it!

Kathy, oh my. No chips, fantastic. Once you do it, stay away from them for life! You will not miss them. Walking today and weights tomorrow. Awesome plan. That is still a lot of steps!

Got in a walk some stretching and a KCM. I so cannot remember the name. But it is a new favorite. I was so sore today from all the weight lifting I have been doing. But for some reason I was using my 12's & 15 pound ones. And they felt light! Strange.

Next challenge you two find for us we will have to get on the same team. It is way more fun that way.
