Weekly Post 31.01. - 06.02.16

Hey Peops, just noticed we have 1111 members and 1111 posts!! Kinda cool :p

After a pretty good week my weekend was a bit food intense. I'm planning to do a B2B fast on Mo / Tu. With the two fasts, I think, I will achieve my goal of 60kg before vacation. Leaving for Iceland on Thursday, taxi pickup at 4h30!! Last preparations for vacation the next few days. And then off I go...I'll be back on the 11th. Next fast planned on the 12th or 13th...no dieting on vacation!! Nope!

Had my first ride on my new care-horse yesterday. He's a cute and well trained little quarter horse. It went very well and after vacation, I'll be able to start riding twice a week again. Haven't ridden since October because I did not feel safe on my old care horse anymore. He did keep me fit though...walking / running 3-4x/week with him for over 2 months, kept me busy ;)

    Funny coincidence on the 1111 appearing in two places. Have a great time in Iceland! I did some batch cooking on the last few weekends to have home made food to bring for lunches on my longer work days. So far it's working out pretty well and my husband appreciates it too. We're having a taco potluck on Tuesday and I'm bringing home made guacamole so fasting is out for that day. Wednesday should work though . . .

    This week may prove to be a 3 day fast. I'm substitute teaching today and Wed. I'm usually so busy I forget to eat. Friday is dance. So I may be looking at M, W, and F as fast days. I guess if I get hungry, I can always go after the kids' lunches :p

    Forget to eat...haha...has yet to happen to me... Take it and run with it, Flossy.

    Had a good fast day. Just a bit cold during Tai Chi class. Home now with bedtime tea. Next fast day is tomorrow.

    I misled you @flumi_f!! It isn't really about forgetting to eat, more about forgetting that I'm hungry. You'll be pleased to know I did not have to resort to stealing the lunches of 10-year-olds (although it has crossed my mind).

    I'm also doing Tuesday/Thursday this week. Last week was terrible. I barely logged and wasn't motivated at all. :# We were very busy, and I was recovering from a cold, so I guess that was the problem, but I can't do that again if I expect to keep making progress.

    B2B fast is in the box. On tea until bedtime ;)

    Working a half day tomorrow, then packing my bags! Very excited to see Iceland in the winter. A whole new perspective :D

    Well, this week started out with the husband telling me I didn't need to loose any more weight! I still don't know what I weigh but my waist measurement is the same as last month.... 32". I've run into people at the dog park or store that have now commented on my weight loss too! I would like 2 more inches off the waist so despite what the hub says, I'll continue along with 5:2 although I feel myself slipping some days and not always accurately logging....perhaps the reason for no change-duh! All in all I've enjoyed the fast days and feeling good because of them, learning about watching calories and logging what I eat, I know it works!

    My bags are packed. I'm ready to go.... Taxi will be here at 430 am. Very excited about this trip.

    After my B2B I landed at 60.2kg this morning. I'm very happy with my progress in January and pretty much achieved my before vacation goal :) A kilo or two will come on during vacation (water and food), but I'l get those off by jumping right back on to the fast train on my return :p

    Haha...this is me too. I have come to the realization...that motivation comes and goes..... It left in the second half of 2015! Since New Year I log on days, I make my own food and try to save some cals for the evening when I'm out. Still fasting twice a week and those are going much better cal wise than in the last 6 months. It's working again :p

    Just keep chugging along and forgive yourself for the less perfect NFDs or FDs. You are still in a better place and more aware of your habits, then you used to be... Your MoJo will return ;)

    Afternoon all... To break my plateau I've decided to mix 16.8 with 5.2 this week & also keep an eye on the calories too.. Not back in work till tomorrow so that will be my first fast of the week along with Friday or Saturday... Only weighing every 2 weeks now, how often does everyone here weigh in?

    I only weight myself once. One week after the start of my period....anything else is meaningless in my case because I have wild variations

    I have been there too. My husband is notorious for that! Nice, but when my goal is different it can be sabotaging. I have been terrible with procrastination lately. I will do better when....(just fill in the blank as necessary :|) Last month I was down 1.4 lbs and the last two weeks I have maintained. My numbers have been low, but not quite fasting level.

    I weigh myself every Sunday (as an official weigh-in) I have sneak peaks during the week, but those numbers can be deceiving. Monthly weigh-in would probably better :)

    I often sneak a weigh in or two during the week, but only count the one taken the morning after my 2nd fast.

    @snaps27 I feel better just knowing I'm not the only one!!!! Mindset is everything so I'm trying to (silently) acknowledge the compliments yet make new goals for myself..... Yadda yadda... We'll get there!! B)
