Sherry - I second what Laura said. You might be feeling bette, but keep that door open in case it starts to flare up. He can give you some suggestions or tweets you could do to speed up recovery even.
Marla - I had a sugar day too. Basically, been doing okay. But had a crazy day and ended up eating McDonalds because I was starving and stuck far from home. Had a good dinner last night, but made cookies for hubby and ended up eating a few. So just have to start fresh today. Mainly, I'm trying to to be too hard on myself for having days like that and just focus on the positives.
Laura - I have several races this year I am training for. Mainly, I have the championships in August that I'm doing which is an Olympic distance, and then in October I'm doing my first half ironman distance. Have fun with the triathlon! They're addictive!
So yesterday was obviously a mixed bag for me. I ate a really healthy dinner...but had McDonalds for lunch and some cookies after dinner. But it was mainly caused by having a really good and filling breakfast that was very late in the morning so I thought I could make it till after the birthday party finished that my daughter was at. But couldn't...was starving and so I ended up eating fast food. Live and learn I guess. Next time I'll bring a filling snack with just in case. I also accomplished a LOT of chores and errands that had been sitting there in the back of my mind. So there is a nice release of tension about that. Have a more mild day planned. Church in the morning and then pretty much nothing else the rest of the day. Planning on resting and relaxing today. I do plan to get the strength workout in that I didn't get to yesterday!
Have a great day!0 -
Well...after counting up all my calories I actually broke even yesterday! I aim for a 500 calorie deficit but at least I didn't go way over. Glad that the good choices I made for breakfast and dinner really offset the bad ones. Still not pleased with my choices but feeling a little less hard on myself about them.0

Laura, that tri sounds cool! Good practice.
val, sometimes when I think I've blown it, I find I actually just ate at maintenance and isn't it a relief!
Sooooo, DAY THREE PAIN FREE! I mean, really pain free...not even stiffness when I get up. Not even Achilles tenderness. I swear, aliens abducted me and fixed me Thursday night! There's no other explanation. I'm thrillllllllllled!
As for the school dad Doctor, well...I hope he doesn't call. I could always approach again, if I need to. But, the email war continued last night, and omg, he is some kind of narcisstic personality disorder or megalomaniac or something. Im staying out of it, but his tone is scary. He writes emails like Lex Luthor or some other villan (!). Luckily he never shows up at drop-off or pick-up, so no one has to see him except at functions, the next probably not for months.
Today, chores, laundry, cooking, enjoying pain free legs, shopping gyms online (eeeee! Probably my old gym, but also Considering crossfit, but it might be too expensive...maybe just to do til we go to USA for Summer, about four months)0 -
So happy you are pain free Sherry
Val and Laura, its interesting to me to hear about your goals and races. It gives you a set thing to work towards.
Today and next two days are bright and sunny and for here at ocean summer weather which is high 60's. So warm and no wind. I am going to do part of trail that goes to beach and walk on beach today. Hubby is doing part of it with me before football.
Probably do some more projects on computer later, want to finish up taxes and mail in this week to get it over.
