One of my favourite threads on here is the NSV's...I often go to it when I am in need of some motivation :)

I thought it also might be helpful to have an ongoing thread with some words of encouragement to those who have fallen off the wagon, or may be new to this WOE....something you can go to when you need a bit of a kick in the butt! What would you say to someone?

For example.....One bad meal does not mean you have failed! Do not "start over" tomorrow - start today! Or - if you are getting headaches, you may just need some sodium...do not use it as an excuse to give up :)

Great post! I'll post the same thing here that I put in my newsfeed this morning.

"Use today to get back on track if you have been struggling. Go shopping and get some good food, do some meal planning, take time to make a nicer meal that requires more prep. Enjoy the journey today."

Persistence overcomes resistence..... Some months I average less than 1 pound loss, others up to 12 pounds.

I have lost 70 lbs. And gained it back. And lost it. And gained half back and lost that.

The path to success is not linear; we fail our way to success.

I have come to appreciate the wisdom in "keep calm, keto on." :)

Also, focusing on what foods *do* fit my goals has helped when I was struggling with feeling deprived or old cravings. That and not thinking of it as "I can't have that" but "I choose not to/don't need that." Pushing through the initial adjustment phase to LCHF/keto, it does get easier and the cravings decrease over time even if they do resurface at times.
