Happy Valentine's Day! I started eating LCHF last Valentine's Day, and have not looked back. I think we ate shrimp with Alfredo sauce and a Keto chocolate pudding, sugar free, made out of coconut milk, topped with real whipped cream. I remember thinking how good this food was, and how filling ! It is totally doable to get through an occasion such as this, without straying from our plan. A bit of extra dark chocolate goes a long way!

Happy Valentine's Day! Thank you for the encouragement!

@Kitnthecat! Your anniversary! Congratulations on the success you've managed this past year too! It's hard to believe a year has passed for us already!

Hubby got me some Ghirardelli 72%, and lindt 70%, dark chocolate for a gift! I got him a box of Valentine snack cakes that he has been missing since joining me on this journey. The carbs don't negatively affect him, like they do me! My dad gave me my traditional heart shaped (dollar store) box of chocolate. I will accept this gift, because one day I will wish he were here to give it to me. I have to confess that it went right into the garbage when I got home though. It's not something I even desire anymore, but I will always have the special memories of my dad's Valentine each year!

    Also my 30th wedding anniversary.
Celebrated with seafood buffet dinner (my 1st in 8 months since being LC). Went there thinking I will eat whatever I want. I actually automatically chose LC, didn't over eat but chose some desert and couldn't eat it.

All in all a good learning night for me. Buffets not an issue now.

Then walked for ages around the casino watching the card tables, roulette wheels and craps table. I couldn't have done that 75lbs ago. A fantastic night with my special man.

Happy Valentine's Day all! Happy ketoversary Kit and wedding anniversary Sue!

Successful day here. I made my daughter a bday cake and didn't take one bite of the cake, icing, or fondant! I had a burrito bowl with no beans or rice for her birthday lunch and fathead pizza for dinner. My husband got my flowers and emptied a box of chocolates and replaced them with a bag of pepperoni!!! lol! Funny and appreciated!

Thanks everyone! I guess it is my Ketoversary, yay for me ! I started just before I joined MFP. I hope everyone's had a good day.

I was asked out for a first date for tonight, but I felt too intimidated to go out today, so next Friday is my date night. I already told this guy how I eat and he isn't phased so that's good. It looks like steak and lobster in the near future!

Tonight I had a small bowl of peppery garlic shrimp cooked in butter with Parmesan cheese on top, and half an avocado with salsa, then that same chocolate pudding with whipped cream on top. A bit higher in carbs but still good and under in calories. Win win !

In a way, I am glad I didn't have to date while eating like I do. I could, for sure, but it would be significantly harder to come off as "normal" to a woman. I'm not normal, not in any respect, so the diet would tip my hand too soon.

I laugh, because I met my wife at a time when I was baking break products nearly every day. I promised her bagels and other specially made stuff, just for her. And, I kept that promise for a few months, but then I started cutting more and more grains out of my diet. Then I went paleo. Then it was keto. And finally ZC. She stuck by my side for all of it, despite it not being her thing. I don't know if she would have accepted this from the start.

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! The kids wanted a movie night, so of course we *had* to order pizza. Smelled so good. Almost had a bite...just one, itty-bitty, bitty nibble, just one...

But I didn't! I even said to my husband, "maybe eating the pizza would make my keto rash go away." His response, "wait until tomorrow. Do the research first."

I made a bowl of pizza sauce with cheese, pepperoni and a coconut/egg/psyllium husk pan bread type of thing for dipping instead.

@workathomemama , next time eat the topping off the pizza, and leave the crust. Have with a salad and you've got a meal that's shared with the family. I wouldn't recommend this for daily consumption (pizza sauce) but is good for pizza night!

@anglyn1! I love what your hubby did with the pepperoni!! So sweet!
