Here's a thread for us to share all of those achievements that have nothing to do with the number on the scale.
Feel free to post goals that were met, new clothing sizes, progress pics, or anything else that you want to celebrate!

I didn't feel crappy getting dressed this morning. : )
Also, I moved to heavier weights in most of my 21 Day Fix workout moves.0 -
Yesterday, I went to a Body Works class at my gym! It's been about 6 months since I participated in that class! I STILL ONLY had to modify a couple move plus keep up with 90%. The beginning, I was kind of loss since it was kick cardio, lol0

My posh work trousers need a belt! My posh work trousers need a belt! My posh work trousers need a belt!
I may be a little over exited but these were hanging in my word robe for years waiting for me to lose some weight and now they are loose0 -
My jeans fit loose even after being freshly washed! I also have a pair of jeans I bought two years ago, that were going to be my "get into jeans", which I never got into. But I can actually put them on now and zip them up. I think I need to lose about 5 more pounds for them to actually look good enough to wear. Another victory is I am riding the exercise bike at level 3 now instead of 1.

Such great results, everyone!
I am beginning to feel my rib cage. I thought perhaps I had discovered a lump on my side just under my armpit in the shower, and then realized it was on both sides. It was somewhat disconcerting. I guess I have had fat padding there for so long I forgot what the rib cage felt like.0 -
Promoting this thread to an announcement just so that we don't have to keep bumping it. Please feel free to post here!0

So yesterday I was finally able to string 2 chin-ups together
I was working on this for a while, doing single chin-ups multiple times a day for over 50 days.... I was getting a bit frustrated because I felt like I wasn't making progress. I dropped the 50 daily push-ups I was doing so I have more dedication towards the chin-ups. In my frustration, I reached out to my husband who witnessed my struggle... He said doing a set is harder because you start from a dead hang on the second chin-up. And like that I had a big realization: doing chin-ups while my tippy toes reach the floor = not really a chin-up
So I started doing singles again but this time I made sure no part of the floor was supporting me... And bam: yesterday I did 2 together ... About 4 times because it's so much fun now; hard but oh so rewarding0 -

I've lost an inch off arms
I've hated my arms for years so I'm pretty stoked!0 -
@nicolejo143 Congrats on the marathon! I'm sure it took a lot of hard work to get there!
@dhygirl Awesome NSV! I love it when I can see the changes instead of just seeing a number on the scale move.0 -
Hopefully I can do this picture thing without it being super huge. Earlier this week at work I realized my belt was a little loose and I had to tighten it0

@ACSL3 that's a fantastic NSV!!!!0

I had a fun NSV last night. We met with an amazing elderly couple that were visiting from out of state. I haven't seen them for a few months. When the elevator opened, the first thing the little lady yelled to me was "You are getting down right skinny!". I don't talk health issues with her, so she had no idea that I am even trying to lose weight. Haha.... well, I'm still weighing in at 199, so I'm far from skinny. However, it was a great feeling to know that someone could see a difference in my body shape.0

That's fantastic. The onederland and the compliments. You are doing fantastic!! Kudos to all of these NSVs!!!0

Congrats @6mimi!0

Ran my first 10K race today and came in at 59:31 with a 9:46 per mile pace!! Running a half in 4 weeks...eek! So, need to work on pacing myself slower for the longer runs..today was okay..didn't feel too bad, but def. started way too fast!0
-
Congrats @CourtLloyd! That's really inspiring for me. I'm going to run my first 10k this year too!
Jumping to a half is a huge step up. Good luck!0 -
@6mimi that's a fantastic NSV!!! Treasure that memory and use it to motivate you !0
-
@CourtLloyd, you are an amazingly accomplished runner!!! The best thing about these victories is that now you know that you can accomplish anything you can dream of. I can't wait to see what you do next!!!0

So I'm feeling a little defeated today, can I share a scale victory?
I'm getting close to a normal BMI. I'll be "normal" when I hit 140.5 and I'm currently sitting around 145. I just need a little motivation to keep me going, so I started pulling together some pics.
I've decided that I'm going to post them in the main forums when I hit "normal", but for now, here's a preview.
I started 5/19/14 with a BMI of 36.3 (obese). At 169lbs, I went to an overweight BMI. Now I'm struggling to hit a normal BMI and really really want it.
I've been taking progress pics about every 5lbs. I really didn't want to at first, but I'm so glad I did:
Now I just need to get over that milestone so that I can really celebrate. I'm not done yet.1 -
Wow. Thank you for sharing @SingRunTing I have been struggling and this just shows what can be done. Once again Wow!0
