We're doing DVD workouts once again!
Look for one you haven't done in a while or at all.
I purchased a Flow Yoga for Beginners that I'm going to try on Tuesday.
Let us know what you're did and how you liked it.

Walked w/DH early this morning for 5.05 miles in 99 mins (7.08 total miles for 15,313 steps) then got on the recumbent for 12.75 miles in 45 mins and some Covert Affairs then hit the gym w/DDD and our trainer for an grueling hour workout!! Then I went to the eye doc's and can't see yet!!! I'm going to read as soon as whatever he used to dilate them wears off!

Thought about going for a walk all day, but Shelley says that doesn't count. So, rest day!
Chris, Hope you didn't have to drive home from the doctor's (a la Mr. Magoo)!
Paula0 -
Yeah, I figure that's my problem...since Shelley said thinking about exercise doesn't build brain muscles...I must have really weak, soft brains!!
I did drive home wearing my dark sunglasses.Picked up Bean on the way and didn't crash into anyone!! I was okay with that, it is the up close stuff that's a bit off...tried to thread a needle to sew on a button
...ah, nopey, nope!!!
hysterical!!
Chris0 -
Once more, thinking of exercising does not count.
It might work some brain muscles though.
Threading a needle wearing dark glasses is nuts at our ages. LOL But they do have nifty little gadgets that can do it for you.
Love the Mr. Magoo reference Paula.
Been really busy this weekend. Brother was here to visit from Spokane.
Tired.
Night all,
Shelley0 -
Yeppity-yep-yep! I can totally envision Chris driving along, her sunglasses on and eyes squinted, tooting her horn, driving blindly up a railroad trestle and on to an I-Beam being lowered by a crane back onto the road...
honk honk!0 -
and, don't forget the red and blue light escort home!!!
Man! I'm tellin' ya...your face gets so tired from squinting!
Chris0 -
Ended up writing my "Fear" on the LOTR Discovery challenge - which is that I'm slacking off and need to get back on track and that at my age, a real proactive approach is needed to maintain muscle mass. And it inspired me to pick up those dumbbells.
So not a rest day today afterall. :noway:
Paula0 -
Forgot to post last night but I had 11,931 for 4.74 miles. Today 10,026 for 4.01 miles. Heeding your words Shelley, thinking about exercise doesn't work.
Going into the office tomorrow, leaving early for a doctors appointment then going to hair dresser. I have a feeling tomorrow will be a rest day.
Have a good Wednesday.

Walked w/DH and Bean this morning for 4 miles in 85 mins (6.00 total miles for 13,053 steps) then got on the bike for 12.75 miles in 45 mins then went to 1st grade then got a stomach ache. Didn't even unwrap my new DVD.
Food is right on. Tomorrow will be better DVD-wise.
Chris0 -
I ate too much yesterday. Needed a vegetable and happened to get peanut butter all over the celery - beaucoup calories, oops.
Didn't weigh this morning - not because of the celery but because my hair was wet.
Paula0 -
bwahahahah!
Wish I could use that one, but I don't have much up there!! You made my evening! TY
yummmm...peanut butter! My favorite! Think I'm going to have to go back to almond butter. It lasts longer in this house than peanut butter...much longer!!!
Chris0 -
Kathy great job. Glad you are heeding my words. Not like those two goof ball friends of ours!
Hope your appointment goes great tomorrow.
Paula you should follow Paula on her ride. You should have weighed with wet hair. Would have been fun. Love how your fear got you back on track. But the peanut butter was no accident! I really like it also. My peanut butter falls into chocolate!
Chris sorry about your tummy ache. But at least you got in some great exercising in first.Hope you get that DVD opened yesterday. But look out for red and blue lights.
My Lt. unexpectedly died Saturday. His funeral is Thursday. He was very well respected and loved. He will be missed.
I got in 30 minutes walking, 40 kettlebell and 10 stretch. Busy day. There were 26 in custody for initials today. It was crazy!

Shelly so sorry for your loss.
My MIL is doing better, so we 'll see how things go.0 -
I got in 10,870 steps for 4.32 miles. I need to complete a KCM video tomorrow.
Shelley - very sorry to hear about yhe loss of your Lt.
Clara - good to hear your MIL is doing better.0 -
Shelley, I'm sorry about your Lt.
Clara, good news on your MIL.
Walked w/DH and Bean this morning for 5.10 miles in 120 mins (7.30 total miles for 15,942 steps) then went to 1st grade then shopped then got on the recumbent for 12.75 miles in 45 mins then did some yoga for 25 mins!! I'm a kettlebell girl...yoqa is new for me!
Stayed withing my calorie allotment! Logged it all!
Chris0 -
Clara glad for the good news.
Chris I really stink at yoga!Glad you are trying it. And yes, kettles are us!
Great job on the calories.
Kathy we are doing great on the logging! If it was not for you and our challenge I would have missed half by now. Thanks.
Thank you everyone for the thoughts. The judges are closing down the court house at noon tomorrow so we can all attend the funeral. And if that wasn't enough the city police officers are going to be running the jail to allow for more deputies to attend. Jerry Clark was loved by all. An inmate today even told me what a humble man he was and that he was sorry for us all.
Got in my work out. No kettles today.

Tennis practice this evening...YEAH!!! I've missed it so much. The spring season starts March 20th...can't wait! My team asked me to be Captain for another season...I said I would.
I got in 10,267 steps for 4.09 miles.
Chris - I've never tried yoga...how do you like it?
Shelley - I can't believe I'm sticking with logging but I'm hanging in.
Good night
Kathy0 -
It rained this week  and I haven't gotten in any walks and missed bicycle-Wednesday  - need to make up this weekend. In the meantime, dumbbells and TRX - my arms are loving it.
I did yoga 45 years ago and it was relaxing. Did it recently and it was the toughest workout I'd ever had. What a change from gentle stretching in the old days to planks, pushups and squats nowadays!

Wait! Wait! Wait! 45 years ago I was just learning to drink beer. I mean...I was practicing to drink more than half a can a night...I thought it tasted awful! I practiced a lot...then I became a professional beer drinker! bwahaah!
This yoga DVD for beginners was hard. I would much rather sweat doing kettlebells...which I did today. I am not flexible! I do not bend like the lady on the DVD. She was rolling back and forth on her knees. Ouch! Plus I have an issue with my right hip that I can't pull my heel all the way in when I'm sitting. Just let me throw a kettlebell around!!!
Walked w/DH and Bean 5.05 miles in 114 mins (6.85 total miles for 14,954 steps) then got on the bike for 12.50 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Covert Affairs then worked out to KCM's Sculpting DVD for 30 mins then ...nothing.
Weigh in tomorrow...got my fingers crossed!
Friday will be good!!
Chris0 -
Okay my numbers were not good this morning, so I passed on my weigh-in. Next Friday for sure.
We have Bean for the weekend. The kids went to Carmel for the weekend. Today was my REST DAY and, man, I'm tellin' you...I worked really hard in 1st grade today. That should be worth something. We'll be walking bright and early tomorrow morning. We're supposed to have sunshine for the next week...yippy, yip!
Hope you all have a terrific Saturday!
Chris0 -
Coworkers & I walked from City Hall to Sheriffs Office to talk with Records Manager. Got caught by the rain while we were inside, but it let up before we started back to only sprinkles. Sunshine walks tomorrow like Chris.
:flowerforyou: Paula0 -
Kathy I really think I am logging in just so you won't quit! And it sure makes me do it also! We are rocking this logging stuff my sister!
Congratulations on being team captain again. Yoga is fantastic. But finding someone who inspires you to do it is the key. My problem is I like Tony Horton. And his Yoga DVD is 90 minutes long. Why can't he make 30 minute ones?
What Paula? Squats in yoga? No way! Sorry the rain made you hide indoors. Muahaha dumbbells forever! :drinker:
Chris which yoga did you do? Good luck with your numbers and have fun with Bean.I met our cadaver dog today. He is a beautiful all black long haired shepherd. So friendly and only 9 months old.
Got in 60 minutes of walking fast and about 50 minutes of weights. Then the hot tub with me.

Paula you almost nailed it. :drinker: the stars were there, there is a skylight in it.The wind was rather scary. Trees swaying, wind howling.....But it was warm while in the tub. And thanks I felt great.
Thanks Chris, I will look into it.And logged in! Kathy and I are doing better with the logging in also. :drinker:

Tennis practice again yesterday for 90 minutes. It's still a little chilly here in Georgia so now I'm trying to fight a cold.
My mom is here this weekend. So I'm going to take a rest day today. I think I need it. Still logging and no potato chips.
It may be my imagination but I think I'm moving a lot better on the tennis court. I do know the time away has helped my knee and Achilles.
Have a great Sunday ladies,
Kathy0 -
MIL has good days and then bad days. Slowly dying, at times too weak to hold a cup. Then she'll have a time where she can hold a styrofoam bowl and feed herself. So up and down so far. She is scared so we take turns being with her.
Did go to the gym yesterday and had a massage. Resolved to make sure I take a walk or do some exercise everyday to de- stress. Eating this week has been bad so will focus on eating salads and veggies this week.
Kathy glad you're enjoying tennis!0 -

Clara our thoughts are with you. Keep de-stressing.
Kathy you are amazing! Keep it up. I hope the cold loses the fight!
Shelley...wonder if KCM has a yoga DVD...I'm gonna look later.
Walked w/DH and Bean this morning 5.15 miles in 117 mins (7.14 total miles for 15,573 steps) then got on the bike for 12.77 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Covert Affairs then worked out to a 30 min DVD then did a one minute plank then 39 assisted pull ups then I went to Costco which was a really crazy thing to do Sunday afternoon!! It has been a good Sunday anyway!
Staying within my calorie allotment and logging everything.
