I have a new blaze for my birthday, so cool!30

I also have a Blaze and am enjoying it. However it does not sync MFP food database. Does yours? Maybe MFP has to update for the Blaze.24

I just purchased a blaze. The out of the box experience getting it connected and updated with android has been anything but seamless but after several hours I got it working finally. Be sure and reboot the android phone device and the fitbit (hold down left and bottom right buttons for a while) after loading up the software. I created my fitbit account from my computer and then logged in with that account on the android. Once I had it all working then I added the fitbit connector app in myfitnesspal. Let's hope it is worth all the money spent.12

Got mine today.3

I got mine yesterday! Loving it so far. At least I am not allergic to the optional leather band like I was the rubber/plastic of the Charge HR (and the default Blaze band). I think that it is definitely a step up. The mapping/GPS function has led me to retire MapMyFitness.1

I have my new Blaze - I use MFP as well and they are connected - I used to have a flex and would have to enter my running or weight lifting etc on MFP to get credit for it - now it looks like if I enter workout on MFP it doubles my run on fitbit? Maybe I should give up MFP?3

Just replaced my Flex with a Blaze. Took half a day of chatting to support staff on live chat to get i set up and to synch but now that it's up and running it's great and I'd love some friends. I only have a handful of friends I know in real life and I'd like to have a few more people around. I'm UK based, but happy to have friends from anywhere.

I received my Blaze on March 2, and I'm loving it. I originally purchased the Garmin VivoActive, but returned it to Best Buy. This is my first Fitbit and I have to admit, I'm truly impressed and very satisfied.
My previous fitness watch was the Garmin Vivofit (which I still have). So, when the Garmin VivoActive hit the market, I was excited to purchase it. Don't waste your money (and it hurts me to say that about Garmin). The watch has numerous features, but is very dim and there is no setting to adjust the brightness. A MAJOR fault with that device.
At last, I am happy with my new activity/smartwatch. KUDOS to you Fitbit!

I just got my Blaze yesterday. I didn't have any trouble setting it up right out of the box. It did say you had to log all your info on MFP though NOT the Fitbit App or it would double...so just use MFP and your info from the FB should sync to your app if you have the app loaded. At least that's what the web site said. I'll let you know better today. I'm looking forward to getting fit and seeing if this will help out! Glad to be part of the group.3

@Bugsy40 : That is not true. MFP wants to keep your eyeballs on their site, so they tell you to log everything on MFP. Most of us here find that it works best to log all food on MFP and all exercise on Fitbit.
The reason for logging food on MFP is that their database and interface are better than Fitbit's. (Plus, I'm not sure if food logged on Fitbit syncs over to MFP.)
The reason for logging exercise on Fitbit is that: 1) Fitbit is going to track a lot of your exercise already. If you then go in and manually log it in MFP, you'll overwrite Fitbit's better estimate and data with a uniform block of data; and 2) for exercise that Fitbit can't track well (swimming, yoga, weight lifting, etc.) the algorithm that Fitbit uses to estimate calories is thought to be superior to MFP's algorithm. MFP is notorious for overestimating exercise calories.
When it comes to manually entering exercises, as long as you only log it in one place - either Fitbit or MFP, but not both - you won't double count.
I would recommend reading the FAQ found in the stickies. It has this info, plus logs more. Here's a handy link: http://community.myfitnesspal.com/en/discussion/10098937/faq-syncing-logging-food-exercise-calorie-adjustments-activity-levels-accuracy/p110 -
