Nothing new here for LCD readers, but it's cool to see articles like this appear. First butter, now salt. The walls are coming down.

Good News, Everyone: It’s OK to Eat Salt

These studies provide mounting evidence that most Americans shouldn’t continue cutting salt. Luckily, government policies have begun to reflect the science.

Well, actually, no they haven’t.

Low-Salt Diets May Pose Health Risks, Study Finds

"There is not a single study, not one, showing [such a] benefit for having a sodium intake of less than 2,300 milligrams," said Brian Strom, chancellor of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences in New Jersey who wasn't involved in the study but chaired the Institute of Medicine panel that reported on sodium last year.

Yes! I'm glad the restaurant community never sold out on salt, because ask any chef or baker--salt is essential to good flavor. I'm glad my parents never bought into that nonsense, either.

Does CSPI ever do anything actually helpful?

I think Playboy has become as work-safe as any other site. Probably less underwear posing than on MFP. :)
