Running's snot the problem

Hi fellow runners!
I'm on W4D1. Lately I've been noticing a strange problem. When I get running, my nose runs/feels congested all of a sudden. Prior to running, I'm fine. What gives? Does anyone else have this problem? Any remedies?

I think that is pretty common. I just wipe it and keep moving.0

I second this!
My doctor thinks that because I run around my city's botannical gardens, it's either EIR (the article in the first reply), or that my increased VO2max is increasing the amount of pollen I inhale, causing hayfever and my occasional mucous explosion when running.
In terms of solutions, have an armband to wipe it, sniff profusely, or do a farmers blow whilst you're running. No option is appealing, but nothing really is when it comes to boogers1 -
I noticed this for the first time yesterday when I was doing w7d1 out on the local Prairie Path. I usually run on the treadmill, but wanted to take it outdoors to test my ability. By the end of the workout I was sniffling up a storm. I haven't noticed it on the treadmill, so I'm thinking it's pollen or wind related.0
