Thank you! Running has become quite the bonding hobby for my wife and me. I told her that one of my short-term goals is to become faster than her (she runs 9-10 minute miles, I run 12-13 minute miles) so that we can actually run together. So yeah, the extra weight has to go.

I ran in my second race of the year, the Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Shamrock 5K, on the 13th. My official time was 37:20.9 (12:03 min/mile or 7:28 min/km). This is a personal best for the race (this was my 3rd year running it) by 4:21, and a personal best for the 5K distance by 1:07! Next up is the Sole of the City 10K in April.

That is a fantastic goal! I tried a learn to run program ages ago but as it got harder and my buddies quit on me I feel to the way side and stopped running myself. Maybe that will go on my bucket list when I'm a little lighter ;) good for you and your wife!

I'm trying :) My husband started running after I did. He is pretty competitive and I'm not so I was doing it for fun. I could never stand to run with him. In the last 10 years he has run several 16 km, 3-4 half marathons (21 km) and 4 full marathons (42 km). Every time he runs he says it's his last one then he plans another one. Lol

It was a pretty rough week and I wasn't able to stay on track. Not sure how I managed to have a loss but hey I'll take any loss big or small!
