Chris I have not used my bands much in ages! I so think this will get the dust off my bands. I am with you. Lets "band" together!
Shelley0 -
I was trying to use those bands for TRX (they're still tied to the stairs) but they're much too stretchy.Oh - curls and presses and rows, oh my! Those are my favorite arm workouts, Chris, but with bands. Happy dance! Oh boy!

HAPPY EASTER, EVERYONE!!
Chris0 -
Walked w/DH this morning 5.25 miles (8.07 total miles for 17,083 steps) then got on the bike for 13.50 miles in 47 mins and an episode of Bosch then went maternity clothes shopping w/DDD.
The only place in town that had maternity clothes was Target!! Not Macy's, Penny's or Kohl's!! We had to go to Concord Macy's to find any. We did. It was fun! Cute belly!!
Then her car tire had a leak, and we took it to the dealer...they have to order her a new tire, and we'll have to go back Wed or Thurs. Boy, howdy, I detest car stuff!!!
Hope you all had a great weekend!
Chris0 -
Wow Chris, Bean is already 3! How time is flying. Glad you were with DDD when the leak was discovered. I had one a couple of weeks ago. But they were able to fix it. You would think all Macys would have maternity clothing. Ours here in little ol' Casper does!
Kathy awesome walk you got in yesterday!
Paula I have different bands. Some are really hard to stretch! Mega soreness coming from those ones.
Got in 60 minutes of walking the courthouse today. Discovered my Protein skimmer is broken in the small tank. Had to order a new one. Pain I tell you! I do believe it has been broken for a long time. No wonder it is taking me forever to clean that tank up! Also ordered a pound of live black worms for Al Capone, he sure gobbles them worms up! Got in some stretching also.
Off to read my book.
Bye all!
Shelley0 -
I bet those little black worms have a #1 Wanted poster with Al Capone's picture on it.0

Muahaha, I am sure that they do. He may have to wait though. Under a winter snow warning. Doubt we will get as much as they sat. 12-18 inches is predicted. So I emailed the worm farm and asked if they could delay delivery until Thursday or Friday. Running low on them.
Shelley0 -
Paula is soooo funny!!
Shelley, I hope Al doesn't starve and you get your Protein Skimmer fixed. We have blue skies and the promise of 70 degrees tomorrow. Right now we are at 65 degrees and sunny with beautiful, big puffy clouds!! I can't imagine 12-18 inches of snow...I can't imagine any snow at all!!
Walked w/DH this morning for 5.15 miles in 107 mins (7.30 total miles for 15,595 steps) then got on the bike for 13.00 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Bosch then did our challenge X3 then napped then went to the store. Now I'm going to read!
Chris0 -
Tennis practice tonight for 90 minutes as well as 10,529 steps for 4.19 miles. Going to soak in Epsom salt then bed. Good night.
Kathy0 -
Kathy - nice going!! 90 mins of tennis and all your steps! Great!
Walked w/DH early this morning for 5.15 miles in 106 mins (8.18 total miles for 17,538 steps) then got on the bike for 13.25 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Bosch then helped DH fix the fence then hit the gym w/DDD for an hour workout w/our trainer. A good day!
Eating is right on! No triggers...had to go shopping to stop the urge, though!! and no junk!
Hope you are all doing well!
Chris0 -
Kathy I actually felt the accomplishment you had. A well earned soak after a perfect day. Great going.
Chris we woke up to almost 12 inches! Rocky stayed home. Roads were closed out of the city. But I had to work. I would love some sunshine. Al might get a little hungry if I can not get the worms in time. Trying some freezes died one's in this order also. Would be great in an emergency. I do have some clams I could chop up for him. Just a bit time consuming. Roads were a mess on the side streets. But I am used to it.
Got in some yoga, our bands challenge and a walk today. It was a great day.

You got your 12 inches after all, Shelley! Wow, sounds like a blizzard! Is it fun to live in the snow? (as long as I can go home to California in the evening) What are "freezes died one's" - is that "frozen dried ones"??Did you hear that the guy who invented auto-correct died?
His headstone says "Restaurant In Peace"
Kathy, Nice to see you playing again. I so associate tennis with you now!
Me = total slug. (Going to doctor tomorrow, boss says two weeks is too long. It always feels silly to go to the doctor and you say "I have a cold" and they say "yep, you have a cold" and then you go home 'cuz there's no cure for a cold - sigh... )
I almost passed out yesterday though, it was dramatic. I ran out of energy around 3:00 and tried to keep going, and was standing talking to a coworker when my legs buckled and he leapt forward and grabbed me. (He's a cute young military boy with good reflexes.) Too funny!
Paula0 -
Paula, I'm a bit concerned about the almost passing out. Be sure to tell the doc!
2weeks more before I see the foot doc and find out if I can start walking/jogging again. But the foot is feeling better.
Bands are perfect exercise for me now. Thanks, Chris!0 -
PAULA!!! GO TO THE DOCTOR!!! Having the cute military boy grabbing you is nice but almost passing out is serious business and not just a cold. Go in my friend...see what the doc says. Please????
Chris0 -
Paula, go to the doctor!
Work has been beyond busy this week. Why is it everything comes up the week before your vacation begins? We leave on Sunday for Orlando. I can't wait to enjoy this trip with by Godsons!

Muahaha, Restaurant in Peace! Love it.
Yep, they have freezed dried black worms. I sure hope he will eat them. I might need to soak them in some water first. If you suffer from another of those episodes you should go to a doctor. Your friends here all worry about you. But could you send that nice young man here first?
Clara glad the foot is feeling better. I so hate it when my feet are sore.
I love visiting Florida Kathy! Remember photos. And have some fun for us all also. And that is just how work is. Makes you never want to come back to it!
Snow is melting quickly. The trees and flowers will all be happy for the moisture once the sunshine comes out.
Shelley0 -
Here is a picture of the wall, and the yellow ball I fell off of and smacked my head on. Just thought you all would like a visual to go with that laugh!
Shelley0 -
Shelley - I'm surprised the yellow ball doesn't have a big grin on it and that there isn't a giant X on the wall where you smacked it! I can see that in my brain! Where did you visit in Fla.?
Clara - you're most welcome and I'm glad your foot is getting better. I do understand since I have such feet issues.
Kathy - have fun with your Godsons and enjoy Fla. I have two sisters living in the panhandle.
Walked w/DH this morning for 5.0 miles in 110 mins (7.09 total miles for 15,026 steps) then got on the recumbent for 13.00 miles in 46 mins and an episode of Bosch then did the Backup & Restore exercises for LOTR challenge and 100 mtn climbers. Then I went w/DDD to get her new tire put on which took them two and a half hours!!!
The kids are going to a hockey game in San Jose tonight so we get Bean for a puppy sleep-over!!
I might weigh in tomorrow...maybe.
Later, my friends!
Chris0 -
Borrrring! Went to the doctor. I have a cold. No cure. The exhaustion may be anemia or thyroid - they're checking. I think the only cure is retirement. Chris, Have I mentioned my bad case of jealousy?
LOTR ends in 2 weeks. In the meantime I'm supposed to do mountain climbers and bicycle crunches. Good thing my old bones require modified workouts - anything to make it easier - ugh!
Shelley - the ball is great  - and Chris, I can see that X really clearly if I peer closely without my glasses on. It's there!!!
Clara, good luck with your feet. You need some good things to come your way! And soon!!
Kathy, enjoy your vacay!!!! Watching the world through a godson's eyes is so much fun. The joy of a child.Paula

Paula - Not that having a cold is good but it's not something else and that's good. And retirement is good!! When can you join me?
I braved it this morning and weighed in. I'm at 140.0 on my scale. Okay...here I go...down...and...down...and...down -->
So glad you are all here.
Chris0 -
Chris I know! I so should have done a body outline and everything.
I lived in Florida for a little over a year. My dad was stationed there. We went to the ocean, played at white sands. Had my first bikini. Black with yellow decorations. And cockroaches as big as a small dog.
I can so see you doing your 100 Mtn. climbers. NOT!
Chris I so laughed. I am sure you are right. That X has to be there! OR at least the dent where my head hit!Hope your tests come out good. Thyroid is not so bad though. Just a little pill in the morning! And not expensive. Or retirement. Yes, yes, yes!
The worms were delivered!Had leftover tacos for dinner last night. Got in some weights and lots of walking. Then after we retired for the night the phone rang. My sister called to let me know that our mom is back in the hospital. Pneumonia. I will call her tonight and see how she is doing.
Shelley0 -
Shelley I hope your mom gets better soon.
Chris0 -
Yes, thinking "getting better" thoughts for your Mom, Shelley!
Paula0 -
Thank you Chris and Paula. She is in a regular room today.
Michelle 200 pound dead lift is awesome! You go sister. And I love your enthusiasm for the program. Do take some before and after photos. I would love to see them.
Not sure how much working out I will get done the rest of the day. Cleaning!
Shelley0 -
I have to do 100 mtn climbers and 200 crunches (or vv) and yell Gandalf and "Fly you fools" - I'm going to count each foot
and break them into tens. Derek's going to wonder why I'm yelling "Gandalf!!" and "Fly you fools!" all day.
Paula0 -
Shelley can I put my house on your cleaning agenda??
...please?
Yes!! 100 Mtn climbers!! 50 at a time with a 2 min rest between...and cursing at the mat! It was great! Glad I don't have to do the crunches and yell stuff that would scare my sweet DH! Have fun with it, Paula!
Yesterday was my REST DAY. Finished my book. Was very careful about what I ate.
After everything was said and done this morning...I was down .6. I'll just have to see if it holds for tomorrow.
DH and I started our walk at sunrise and went for 5.10 miles in 97 mins then hit the gym with DDD and SIL for a 40 min strength workout then got on the bike for 12.00 miles in 46 mins and an episode of Bosch. Now I'm going to have lunch and read my new book!! A good Saturday!!
Chris0 -
Walked w/DH 5.30 miles in 97 mins (7.00 total miles for 14,686 steps) then got on the bike for 12.75 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Bosch. Then went w/DDD to get our hair cut!! A good Sunday!! Hope you all had a great day!
Chris0 -
I sorted and packaged some 50-60 pounds of beautiful precious rocks. Made my arms feel good. But otherwise kept it low key. Hoping to not need energy to kick this cold soon. At that point where it surprises me that I'm still sick. Should evolve soon into forgetting it ever happened.
