I've been losing steady on Keto since last September, 2 lbs a week and then slower this year to 1/1.5 lbs a week. March I got stuck at a plateau till a few days ago. now I seem to be losing .5 to 1 lbs a day. When I woke up this morning- I felt much lighter - and sure - lowest weight in 30 years.

The thing is I'm going to the bathroom at least once an hour and was up a lot last night. I drink a lot of coffee/tea/water all the time - but my output seems to exceed my input.

    I was told by someone on this forum that it's one way the body gets rid of fat when you're in ketosis. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

    I'd be concerned about that amount of output. You may want to discuss with your Doctor.

    Remember FIFO. Measure your FI and FO so you know for sure. If you wind up in the hospital they may do FIFO for you. I try to check my FO each morning after sleeping for 7-8 hour using the bathroom scales. It is info docs like to know about.

    @daylitemag gives a good suggestion.

    That sounds like it could have been a "whoosh"? There's no scientifically backed explanation but it's a phenomenon that lots of people (myself included) experience when losing weight.

    The idea is that when restricting calories the body hangs on to some water in place of the fat it's burning and eventually flushes it out. Many people notice that their chubby body parts become squishy before a whoosh.
