Adding Fat

I never thought I'd be writing asking for ideas to add more fat into my diet, but here goes lol.

My macros seem to be off lately. I seem to be hitting higher on protein than my goal and lower on fats.

Let me say, I tend to hate fat bombs. I haven't found a sweetener that I can stomach. Plus just looking at recipes make my head crave sweet things. Then that sucks when my mind keeps thinking about them.

Avocados - Hate them. lol

Butter - I'm definitely putting it with pure freedom in recipes that call for it. I cook my eggs in it, but lately I'm getting kinda sick of breakfast foods in general.

Cheese/dairy other than butter - trying to keep them under control. I love cheese, but sometimes I wonder if it's hindering me. So trying to just keep an eye on my intake.

Any ideas?

Nuts but it takes portion control because I can definitely eat a cup of almonds and not feel satiated.

Are you okay with fattier cuts of meat? Like ribeye steaks or chicken thighs with the skin on?

I have struggled with this myself. I typically lean towards leaner meats. I just continue to try my best. Now I eat more bacon and chorizo. I add mct oil to my coffee and use olive oil when I cook.

I have also found myself snacking on pepperoni and cracklins.

I struggled with finding an AS that I liked also. I now use splenda in the liquid form. I ordered it offline. I literally spent almost 100 bucks before I took the advice to order it.

@KittenToni finding fats is a struggle for many of us. Why and what kind to select is covered in this video by a kidney doctor that I found helpful after having read a lot about the pros and cons of eating fats. It is about an hour long but it is broken up into many slides so you do not have to watch it all at once. Best of success.

I have the problem of adding too much fat to my food. When I make sandwiches, I add mayonnaise to the bread and oil to the lettuce. In addition to the fatty meat like salami, I add 2 slices of cheese and then an avocado. I end up with a 850 calorie sandwich.

Remember on LCHF we cut carbs and add more fats. :)

Carbs (especially processed carbs) can cause our glucose levels to get high and stay high then body can only store the excess glucose as body fats.

I like to adding fats to BPC too. I tend to add extra fat to everything I make too.

Sourcream or cream cheese on foods or as a dip. Full salad dressing is good too. Fatty meat cuts work well. Nut butters. Olives. Bacon crumbled on food...

I've asked the same question on here before. Rectified the situation by using coconut oil in my smoothies / coffee, eating breakfast (4 eggs = fat in there), and making sure there ample ghee/butter for when I cook meats. If you're still under (what is your goal?) then you can also eat fatter cuts of meat like someone else mentioned. Pork shoulder is my go to for what eventually becomes pulled pork after about 8 hours on low heat in the slow cooker.

I make cheese dips, cream cheese with olives, tons of seasoning salt some adds nuts and other cheeses but I like simple and it's great on celery or just a spoon! Also spinach dip, jalapeño dip (taste like jalapeño poppers) I like to keep a cream cheese base dip on hand even if I don't have many calories left a spoon full is great fatty snack to me.
Also just plain olives are fatty.
I can't do nuts they set off cravings for me.

I agree with you on fat bombs yuck!
