I suppose I am looking for motivation, I don't expect I will have huge losses, but in 8 weeks I hope to look leaner. I know some of you are just so super organised and lose so well, me probably a pound a week if I am lucky. lol.

I lost 14 pounds the first 8 weeks with a 40 pound loss goal.
Things got really slow after that as expected.

I lost about 20 lbs in 8 weeks and like above, it slowed down a lot. I wasn't really big to begin with so as my body got down what was a healthy weight for my age and height, it got to about a pound a month. Not even.

I lost 15 pounds during the first eight weeks. Expect anything when it comes to the scale!

    Yes!
OP, You really have to be ready for anything from 0 to 20 pounds. Losing 0 doesn't necessarily mean that you don't lose inches either. It can be hard to lose nothing or less than you want. And it's super hard to not compare your loss to others... But it's very helpful to try to take the focus off scale weight.

    13 lbs.

Do yourself a huge favor. Put on some shorts and a sports bra, have a friend, spouse, or anyone take front, side, and back photos of you. Hide those photos away, they are for you. When you start getting discouraged add the scale weight loss slows or stops, take updated photos. Compare the before and after pics and be amazed at how much your body is changing even when the scale isn't.

Then come update us, we love that stuff :)

    8 lbs.

My husband and I are on week 7. I lost that last stubborn 5 lbs. I also lost the extra 3 lbs. I put on before I started. My husband has lost 2 lbs.

I lost 18 in my first 8 weeks and 53 total since mid August. Last week I had to buckle down again and weigh/measure and track all my food since I was letting carb creep set in. I managed to lose 7.4 pounds last week.

I lost 14 lbs in the first 8 weeks. I started about 18 lbs from my original goal weight. (Ended up a couple lbs below that.)

    I can't remember... I think it was over 15lbs.

Now the past 8 weeks? Maybe 0.5 lbs excluding the 3lb whoosh in the last 3 days. :D Ditto the others - don't place too much trust in the scale. Tape measurements and pictures will often tell a better story.

I guess, officially, 11 lbs or so.

I was already at a healthy BMI so if I lose a lb a week healthfully and without hunger, that's monumental.

I lost 9 in 6 weeks. I am pretty lean but was developing a belly- my waist went from 27 cm to 33 cm - now back to 31 cm.

I lost 33 lbs in the first 8 weeks, but I have a lot to loose. The last 2 weeks I only lost 1/2 lb. I have to be quite strict with myself to lose, it falls off when I eat right, but it doesn't take much to push me off track, and I'm not talking about cake and french fries. But I'm a T2 diabetic and my glucose and insulin levels really impact my weight loss.

I highly recommend getting to know how your body processes the food you eat, losing weight doesn't have a one-size-fits-all formula even when you cut the carbs down, though it sounds like you know that very well

    Good luck to you!

ah thanks folks, indeed I do understand the scale is not the only thing to show a change when on this way of eating. I had done this before and 80 days ago my computer packed up and I stopped checking in here, ( hadn't realised it was for that long) carbs crept back in and everything went on a stall....... grrrr. Anyway I just love to hear of all the success people have and that helps remind me to just keep to the system. As for the photos, I hate having photos taken, I really do. I suppose I will take some on my phone an hide the darn things in a hidden flie maked household chores, that will keep kids and husband from accidently finding them. Thanks folks, I appreciate you all chiping in with your stories.

I hope to remember this thread when I get to eight weeks, and pop in and let you know how I get on. Off now to find my measuring tape, and measure all my bits . , I may notice a difference there first.

After the first few weeks my weight loss has been slow, but very steady. I am thrilled with that, as I am enjoying the benefits that have been achieved with this WOE

I would say I lost about 15-18 pounds. The past 4 weeks I probably have lost 5-8 pounds. Total I have lost 23 in 11 weeks.

I lost 22 pounds in 8 weeks, but everybody is different. In any case, make sure you are logging everything if you're worried about it. That way, people will be able to offer you more help if you stall for any reason.

Wow folks you all have done so very much , It's an amazing way of eating, It feels so simple it is hard to get my head around how it works. I know there can be woosh at some point if things start slow, but it is still a lot quicker than other methods I have tried, and with less obsession on food. ( except to just stop reaching for bread, )
