    ^ Truth right there!

Marla - Ugh! I hope you feel better soon! There's been nasty stuff going around my house as well. So far I've escaped *fingers crossed but for four weeks, at least someone has been sick and staying home. Youngest had a fever for a week straight. It finally broke last night. I agree with Laura, if you have some sun, so sit outside and that should help a little bit. I hope.

Sherry - Don't be too hard on yourself. Your having to go it alone with two kids in a foreign country. Hopefully the leg thing keeps improving instead of reverting back. Did what you were doing stop working?

Had a good conversation with hubby. He was truly sorry for a lot of the things he said, and liked the idea of me getting a therapist. He's so stressed at work and basically doesn't know what to do about it, so it squirts out at me and occasionally the kids. Which I get, as his work is the suckiest thing on the planet at the moment. Anyway, I'm hoping a therapist will teach me to better assert what I need, so that I don't make my hubby had to try and read my mind and guess what I need. Plus, and outlet to work through other stuff as well. Now to find one.

In other news, now that the big Springfest is done, my schedule has finally normalized. I've been getting all my training in and the stress has almost disappeared. Which confirms for me my decision to step back a bit from the PTO. This year it just got to be too much. I'll take notes at meetings, and help with Springfest. But I will do absolutely nothing else. That should help relieve a LOT of stress. Hubby and I have worked out our training schedules and so far it seems to be working. It's hard because we can't train at the same time for a lot of this, because someone needs to be home with the kids. So it's like squeezing double the training hours in. But I think we have a good system worked out. I may take a step back next year for a year and only train for springs and an occasional Olympic. Just until youngest is in kindergarten. Then, once he's in school all day, and their old enough to watch each other if we train, I'll ramp up to do my bucket list...a full ironman. But that'll be three or four years down the road.
Eating is better. I'm snacking more frequently. But it's things like hard boiled eggs, baby bel cheese, or smoothies with whey protein. Helps stave off my hunger so I've been way under my calorie count each day without feeling tired or hungry. Hopefully that keeps up!
    Happy hump day everyone!

Val sounds like you have some good ideas about priorities. I think sometimes we think we can do it all and drive ourselves crazy doing that especially while raising kids, i had my years of working full time, keeping house, driving the kids to activities and such and thinking i could take on more.

I watch both my daughters struggle with that over the years. No matter how much i tell them the word "no" works wonders they still keep busy so now i just sit back and listen.

I woke up today with new symptom, still have dry cough, feels like that is lasting forever, even with new medicine took me hours to fall asleep then i woke up and left eye was crusted over and red.

I got out lysol wipes and went over all door knobs and handles and light switches i might have touched and put out fresh towels. Trying to keep hubby from catching this. I have been pretty good but...

Went to grocery store yesterday and just that made me feel worse. Pretty bored :(

Its been cloudy lately but we did get a few moments of sun and i sat out for a few min. I know the sun gives you vitimin D that helps immunity so Laura is right.

Suppose to be very windy today 25mph and doc says with allergies to stay in on those days. Right now just starting.

Threadstarter--Don't I know it! I need to run so bad!
Val, basically my legs are about 95%, except when I have a lot of steps and carrying stuff, etc. I think my shoes are wearing down causing it. Actually I'm not even sure it's the steps, but "time on feet", bc some days I get lots of steps quickly but also lots of sitting time the rest of the day. Other days I'm standing all day and get my steps over the whole day, with very little sitting...I think these are the bad days. But who knows. For the first time in awhile I had to grab my sons arm bc of my leg giving a sudden ripping pain, like it used to do. Idk. Guess I'll go shopping for shoes again and see. Sounds like you are getting everything sorted out. Good for you! I hope you find a great counsellor. I think that'd be a great thing, but myself, I'd just settle for just being able to run off my troubles ;) hehe

Marla, the Suns uv light can also kill stuff off, besides the vit D benefit. The sun is a wonder drug. Hope you feel better!

Today I had a bad day. DH is traveling and I tend to have bad emotional days when he travels. Son stepped in and took care of lil girl and let me hide out in my room. DH gets here in the morning. Sister is leaving Friday. She will go to Italy for a week and then coming here! Gonna get crazy for me around here. Hoping my healthier eating habits stick (my sister is a very bad trigger for me for poor eating, as is my husband sometimes).
