How do you do it? I usually eat 4 meals on the nights I work but 3 on my days off. I work 4 nights 10-8:30. I never know how to log my meals. Plus there are often foods at work I have a hard time resisting. And, My sleep sucks! So I'm curious how other, successful people make this a lifestyle.

I work 6:45pm to 7:15am (technically) 3 nights a week, either 3 consecutive or 2 and 1. Not the same days every week. I just set my diary into 6 4hr blocks, log what I eat when I eat it. I actually find I eat less when working because I wake up at 2-3pm,eat one meal, go to work. Generally, I eat my "lunch" at work around 1am, unless we're so busy I don't get a break (about 1 shift in 3 probably). When I get off in the morning I am not interested in eating, just sleep.
Your body isn't on a clock, so long as your weekly calorie consumption is in line with where you want it, it's fine. As for sleep, I do that during the day while my kids are at school. However I am also one of those strange people who has no trouble flipping back and forth between daytime and nighttime schedules.3 -
I actually eat breakfast lunch and dinner most days, except on occasion I sleep later than 2 and lunch and dinner become the same meal. Then on the nights I work I eat again around 2am. I try to get 6-8 hours of sleep a day, it's just never straight through. I don't have much of a problem going from days to nights either. I mostly don't know how to track my intake. I don't seem to have a 24-hour clock to eat by.1

I work part time 2100-0500 and home in bed by 0600. I try to sleep as long as I can but usually I wake around noon (I do need more sleep than I seem to get). Within an hour I usually eat my first meal, then possibly a midafternoon snack if I need it, then dinner with my husband, off to work, small dinner/large snack between midnight and 0130. Then nothing but herbal tea & lime water until AM bedtime. The week I am off I don't often eat my first meal before 1100 or noon unless I have something pressing I need to do early in the day. The rest of my day is similar to work day schedule except I try not to eat after 2200.
Works pretty good for me.1
