Kathy, glad you like it!
Walked w/ DH and Bean this morning for 4.15 miles in 102 mins (6.65 total miles for 14,514 steps) then got on the bike for 13.00 in 47 mins and an episode of Castle then went to 1st grade. Tired.

I dropped off my car for repairs and walked to work. No Chris-impersonators in HMB today.
(I like seeing Chris...)

I like the overhead punches. Looks like there is a twist in it. Extra side workout! And then the weighted punches! Those are fun! Hold them out there for an added bonus.
Chris great workout! I heard Grim is on for another season!
Paula I hope all ends well with the car. Hate that.
Kathy how did yours end up? Warranty I hope.
Squeezed in a little weights tonight. That was it. I am doing hyposalinity with the fish in quarantine. Had to slow down a bit though. Al and Tut were eating yesterday and today not so much. So will resume lowering the gravity of the salt later. I have time. Slow and steady.

Shelley the warranty ran out at 120,000 I had 131,000. Paid a hefty $3500 and hoping to get some consideration from Nissan as I had up to date maintenance and no one can tell me why it went out without any warning.
Anyway...60 minute tennis practice and 10,018 steps for 4 miles. Darebee tomorrow along with a 21 day arms challenge I found on Popsugar fitness.
Goodnight,
Kathy0 -
Paula? HMB? What's up with your car?
Shelley, glad you like the workout!!
Kathy, I hope you get answers on your car soon.
Got my walking done w/DH and Bean this morning 4.10 miles in 102 mins (6.14 total miles for 13,413 steps) then went to B&N for a Dr. Seuss book DDD needed for class today. She doesn't know where her book ended up, so I volunteered to go to the book store for her...such a chore for me...books...Then I went to 1st grade and spent a long time there. Tired now. Must read my new mags.!!
Chris0 -
My car got a flat and the headlight burned out. Each cost a couple hundred for parts and labor. And the radiator that's been put off for several months is getting bad and will cost a couple thousand. But at least it's a nice walk to/from work. :ohwell: sigh....
Good luck with Nissan, Kathy!!!!
Which Seuss book, Chris? I've got a "one fish, two fish..." mobile hanging in my dollhouse. And what kind of magazines? Just nosy, urk I mean, just like getting to know you better.
Shelley, I think you're just a natural puncheroo, an expert!
Love y'all,
Paula

Paula...it was the Lorax. She read it to the kids after lunch recess...so funny! They loved it. Then they drew a picture of Thing 1 and Thing 2 and wrote about what they would do if Thing 1 and Thing 2 showed up at their house. FOOMCF!!! I pasted their pics and stories to pretty blue construction paper and will hang them in the classroom windows this afternoon.
Health mags...Slim Strong Yoga...(the best poses to BURN FAT FASTER) Sugar Detox Made East (LOSE YOUR SUGAR BELLY) On Fitness (FOOD CRAVINGS - What causes us to eat junk) Experience Life (CUTE COWBOY SITTING IN THE EDGE OF HIS TRUCK BED) That last one I just leave on my desk...here, just next to my keyboard...sitting...:o
I hope your car repairs aren't too expensive. OOHHH!!! I so dislike car stuff!
Our gym appt has been switched to Friday evening, so I will get our challenge done this afternoon.
Have fun today everyone!
Chris0 -
Kathy we did an arm challenge here once. It was fun.
Muahaha Paula, love the just getting to know you better. Why does a radiator cost that much? Are they putting real gold on the thing? Ridiculous.
Chris I used to have a couple of abalone like things in my tank. They were named Thing one and Thing two! LOL So no free day on Friday? Not good.
Sorry...wrong week!I found it and read it anyway Paula. Muahaha, time out for my fishy friend! LOVE a 20 gallon Time Out tank.
Shelley0 -
We call our brothers Thing 1 and Thing 2. Patch is Thing 1 and the ringleader. Jasper is Thing 2 and a professional trouble maker in his own right. Maynard likes it when they rumble with each other and leave him alone.
Paula0 -
Love all the Thing 1 and Thing 2 names.
Was able to walk up and down a lot of stairs today. And halls of course. It was a great morning.
Shelley0 -
Walked w/DH and Bean for 4.0 miles in 93 mins (5.86 total miles for 12,800 steps) then got on the bike for 12.50 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Grimm then went to 1st grade and watched a bunch of 6 year olds color and past together their pictures of the Thorax!! Pretty darn cute, if you ask me!!
Have a great Friday you guys!

Been away a couple of days because my mom was hospitalized. She's home now but there is still an issue with BP. Seeing her primary care today. She has chronic hypertension and her meds have to be adjusted periodically. Tired and playing catch up at work.
Will catch up on posts soon.
Kathy0 -
Kathy I am so sorry to hear that. Glad she is home and taking care of herself. Take care of yourself and give her a hug from me. I feel as if I know her in ways.
Got our challenge done 3 times. This was a good one Chris.
Shelley0 -
Kathy hope your mom is okay.

My feet are outrageously itchy now and I'm pretty sure I caught something FUNKY and gross from those little whipper snappers. I've never had this problem before. Feet aren't red or anything, just itchy, any suggestions on what to pour over them to get them to stop itching ... and would Clorox wiping my feet after using the mat help?? lol Thanks!
Also I did the workout of the week (although it was a little more advanced then where I'm at)
I've moved your comment to the April 18th-24th thread where we're posting this weeks comments.
Also, we're chatting on the APRIL!!!! thread.
Come see!

Good morning ladies. I believe the doctor finally found the right combination of meds for my mom. Her BP was much better yesterday morning and I'm waiting to hear what it is this morning.
Now it's time to get back to me. The stress was not good food wise, exercise or just mentally. Time to let everything else go. It starts with my tennis match today.
I will report back later. You ladies are doing great as always...my inspirations!

(Just an update - not foot funk - it's my kidneys. Guess I was just paranoid about the workout area not being clean.)0

We wipe off the mats at the gym w/alcohol wipes and put towels down. The mats are supposed to be anti-bacteria mats but what does that mean when you can see sweat drops all over them?? ewwee!
Walked w/DH early this morning for 5.10 miles in 95 mins then hit the gym w/DDD for 45 min workout then jumped on the recumbent for 12.50 miles in 45 mins and an episode of Castle. Reading now!!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
Chris0 -
They definitely need to get some of that alcohol cleaner for the gym. We have spray for the machines and I wipe down the weights I use and benches but not sure anything gets done to the grody mats.

Chris, Going to do Level 0.5 of the workout (i.e. 1 set).
I can already tell you what the leg lift/kicks are going to look like. My legs outweigh my torso. So what happens when one side is heavier - it stays down and the other side goes up, right?
...resulting in torso raises instead of leg lifts. Can my arms do the scissor kicks since they'll be up in the air?
Paula0 -
Paula, I picture these more of a roll to the left, roll to the right exercises. Keep your arms stretched above your head...close your eyes (esp. if you have motion sickness) and lift. This is best done at the top of a small hill. I think it'll work just fine!!0
-
Paula you have me rolling on the floor! I will think of you doing arm scissor kicks while in court!
Icky mats in gyms. No way, LOL. This is one reason you should all practice keeping your hands away from your face until you can wash thoroughly after a gym session. I am not a germ a phobe. But I do practice keeping my hands away from my face, unless wiping with a towel.
Runner what is wrong with your kidneys? Have I missed something. I sure hope you are well.
Shelley0 -
I'm not a germ phobe - until joining that gym - now I own like 7 antibacterial goop things and carry it on me, in my car, in my purse, in my bag. Cause' they nasty at that gym.
I have the start of kidney disease, it hasn't gone too far yet but I need to go get my blood drawn again. I hypothesize that my feet are swelling from the workout and I didn't notice so thought the itch was from the scuzz.
0 -
Runner I admit I do not know much about the afflictions to the kidney. Other than it cannot be good. I hope it can be reversed. You will have to explain more.
I hope you will be able to also find a gym that does not turn you into a germ a phobe. Not sure that is even a real word! I am one of those gals who rarely get sick. And I work around some pretty nasty folks. You would think that folks who care enough to work out would keep their gym cleaner!
Now get well cause you have a race to run.
Shelley
