Have never tried - not a huge seafood fan. (for the record, I wouldn't even classify me as a "moderate" seafood fan either LOL. If it's ALL that's offered, there's a real chance I'll opt to go hungry,, depending on what the offering is)0

Oh Yum!0

Yes please, what time are you serving dinner?0

Thanks for the dinner idea!0

I have a cast iron pan for these. It was originally made for a Danish apple pastry. Can't remember exactly, but something like "alpenskiver"
It has 7 small semi-spherical compartments.
Add a dollop of garlic butter.
Half a slice of bacon.
Jumbo scallop.
Fold the bacon over and pin with a toothpick.
Some cheese of your choice.
Bake 15 minutes.

I thought I would love them, but turned out... Not so much. Something about the texture weirded me out.0 -

I'm guessing either pesto or chimichurri.0 -
Looks like chimichurri sauce.0

That's because you didn't wrap them in bacon...0 -

Scallops can get kind of rubbery if they're overcooked. Otherwise, to me it's about the same texture as a dense whitefish, minus the flaky.0 -

These weren't rubbery/overcooked. I tried them at a seafood place with great fish, off my mom's order. She loves scallops, said they were cooked beautifully. Not a big deal.0 -

Just thought I'd check. I know some people try them and say they'd rather get a chew toy because they were that overcooked.
