I had a fun workout with Jason last night. He had me to do some general warm-up stuff (squats without weight, some walking dynamic stretches, inverted flys without weights, etc.), then for 30 minutes I repeated a circuit of 6 exercises as many times as I could, doing 10 reps of each - single arm shoulder press while standing in a split squat position (10 each arm), kettlebell sumo deadlift, twisting plank or knee drop plank in a straight arm position, archer rows with a resistance band (picture standing like you would with a bow, one arm kept straight and the arm holding the resistance band pulling back the "bowstring" - 10 each arm), 10 kettlebell squats, and finally sideways fast feet through a ladder back and forth twice. I got through the entire circuit 6 times plus 2 exercises into the 7th set. We were out behind the building - it was 80 degrees and sunny but it was windy so I got pretty hot but it was tolerable with the breeze. He had to run back inside to get something so I just paced behind the building for a few minutes, then he had me do a few circuits of ball slams, running man crunches and plank (30 seconds on/15 seconds off/3 or 4 times through). And then ended with a stretch.

I'm happy with how I've been eating all week. I'm not logging or measuring but I'm being careful with my food choices.

    How's everyone else?

Well, after my Mother's Day tea with youngest, came home and crashed. Just felt awful, tummy cramping and body aching. Sprouted a fever so I slept most of the afternoon and such. Did manage to get the kids homework done and get another area of the house clean. Now half my house is officially back in order so I'm starting to feel less twitchy in my own home. Still not feeling great so I'm planning on just resting until my race on Sunday. Have that kick my training back into gear. *sigh
Today I do need to go to Costco for some must-haves that we have run out of. I also need to stop by church for 20 minutes to get some things finished and ready for Sunday. But it shouldn't be long or difficult. Taking the rest of the day to sit around again. I may get some stuff done that I have to do on the computer. So still sitting but not being a total slob.

    Have a great day everyone!

Hi, sorry to hear its going tough Sherry, we are here for you! You can pm me any time.

Laura welcome back, i mostly use ipad for this, finding i am using computer less and less.

Val you remind me of my older daughter that is visiting now, always busy and fights a lot of illnesses because of insane schedule and stress. I try to tell her to slow down, does no good. Take care.

All my company here now, we went to mexican for moms birthday last night she likes the mariachi band. Watched a good movie Brooklyn, kind of old fashioned but it was for mom.

Today is beach and pedicures, then taking them to place that makes healthy homemade soup.

Laura, your "fun" workout sounds pretty intense! Good job!
val, hope you feel better! I feel your pain about being twitchy in a messed up house.
Marla, sounds like a great time!

I'm just going to go ahead and say that today and for the next two days will be me cleaning and little else! It took a very long time, but I finally found the source of odor in bedroom...after cleaning ev.ery.thing. It was such a phantom mold odor that we couldn't smell all the time, just get whiffs of it. It was maddening! Turns out there were some jackets in DH closet that were moldy or something? Why does he even still have his old military stuff?! Anyway, having to go through every coat to see if it spread to more, and there are a lot of them (he's kinduv a coat and cowboy boot collector). Cleaning up the mess from DH being here+all the travel we did and I couldn't clean daily. Plus some old projects that didn't get done before DHs visit (storage closet, some bins of things I couldn't decide what to do with from previous cleanings). So, yeah, that's what I'll be doing.

Feeling emotionally better this afternoon. Eating about the same, but have added graviera cheese to my stand-bys. We have a bunch of it from when my sis was here (got it for wine, but everybody ended up having the wine and not the cheese, lol).

There must be some kind of air tight storage you can put them in with cedar chips. Living near ocean I am learning about mold and moist air. I bought a really good dehumidifier for bedroom and I keep walk in closet open all day and I hang bags of damp rid (I use the no scent brand) in all bedroom closets. I have got on sale at different stores but you can order it on amazon. Haven't had a problem since I did that.

Marla, it's funny because Greece is soooo arid. But winter is the rainy season, and if it's mild temperature and the radiators aren't used much, you end up with this unique problem. (Usu dryness is the bigger problem!) We had a very mild winter and hardly used the heat. Dampness set in. A dehumidifier would've come in handy this year.

I have to run a dehumidifier in my basement all summer. The main floor is okay but the basement always gets damp. I was just thinking last night it's probably about time to get it going.

Normal high temps here this time of year are in the 60s. Right now it's 93. Blech.

93!!!! :o Good luck with that! So glad it's not that hot here, because here--once it starts, there's no going back to moderate temps til summers over.
