I know I'm sort of new here, but I was really excited to start the weight loss challenge this month and I didn't see anyone else post one, so I thought I'd create one myself. I hope that is okay?
Anyways, I started back up with the weight loss mid April after giving up for 2 months, but didn't post here because I wasn't sure if I could start mid-month, lol. I feel like an almost 15 lb loss in a month is too big, but I'm so close to 300 lbs that I can taste it! So I'm really going to try this month

Hi Diane! I definitely plan on sticking around even if get below that 300 barrier. The only group of people on this site that understand where I'm coming from and what I'm going through are all of you guys, so I would never give that up! I've gotten down to 300 so many times in the past, I just hope I can stay below it for once! Good luck on your goal too, you've come a long way, that's so awesome! Go you!0

The month of April was not a good month but I am planning for May to be a great month. So far so good - had a very healthy day yesterday. Managed to not give in to temptation to stress eat even though someone managed to aggravate the daylights out of me. Tried to tempt my husband into eating some of my roasted cauliflower but just laughed at his adamant NO.0 -

I'm really hoping this month is better than last month. I think I'm going to have to journal again. I stopped doing that about a month ago. Also measuring everything out to make sure I am not overeating.
It is soooo easy to overeat and you don't even realize you're doing it....so I think it's back to basics for me. Hopefully I will get back on plan. It's hard but I refuse to give up!0 -

I had a good April until the last week lol then I stopped losing and gained some but I am back and ready to lose this month! I am setting a smaller goal than I normally do though lol I usually do these challenges thinking I can lose like 15lbs a month every month lol sometimes I really do but I think that is slowing down now and I need to get it into my head that 8-10lbs a month is really very good too!0 -

I hope I'm not too late. I had a good month in April. It's when I finally got back under 300 lbs. I've done it before 3 years ago got all the way down to 259 but then I gained it all back after my mom passed and I had another baby. I'm determined to continue this time. Still trying to kick this cold of mine so I'm definitely getting the water/liquids in that I usually have so much trouble doing. So there's a silver lining there to feeling icky for the week. I hope everyone is having a great week!
Any NSV's to share? I wish my head wasn't so filled with cotton or I'd try and come up with something...those really make more of an impact to my psyche than the numbers on the scale to be quite honest!1 -

Struggles : I had trouble not letting unplanned events phase me. I struggled giving my workouts 100% because it wasn't my usual time to do them.

My biggest success for the week is that yesterday was mother's day/my mom's birthday. So I went to her house and made her this nice dinner that included pasta and brought her some cheesecake. As hard as it was, I skipped the pasta and just ate more chicken and veggies and then I had a protein bar for my dessert instead.2 -

Had a good week even though I am up a pound from a couple of days ago (probably water). Gained a few sore muscles from hoeing weeds in the garden now that is has stopped raining. Had a nice crop of weeds mixed in the with the veggies in the garden. This week I will be able to start picking fresh banana and bell peppers.2 -

Struggles : This week I had trouble getting all my workouts in for the week. I let random appointments an errands be an excuse to say I didnt get a chance to do it for that day.
Successes : I finally had a nice loss on the scale. This week I was finally able to fix my CICO. I was able to fix my Macro percentages just right and I think that had a lot to do with my loss. Feeling very proud this week.1 -

Way too much salt this week, other than that though still plugging away. I've been trying to add different foods in based on my most recent lab work as I'd rather get my vitamins that way instead of pill form. Still a juggling act as always to find the right balance.1 -

Can I be bummed that my loss wasn't as big as last week? Haha, I know a lot of what I was losing at first was water weight so I shouldn't expect big numbers every week. And I know that my weight loss will slow down over time, but damn I was really enjoying the big numbers! Also, if all goes well, I think I'll actually hit my goal of being at or under 300 lbs by the end of this month, so yay!

I'm losing but not fully back on track yet. I'm getting there. I started seeing a Certified Dietitian last week so hopefully I get this going again. Received my replacement fitbit in the mail but apparently they gave me an upgrade but didn't send the upgrade charger so I had to go back and request the charger. So I still can't use the fitbit. Actually managed to stay under my calorie goals for the whole week and it paid off in a big way. The fresh vegetables starting to come in from the garden is sure helping a lot. Last night I tried and enjoyed a yellow squash grilled in the oven with pesto sauce and Parmesan cheese.1 -

This week went by well, though I'm still bad at remembering to take my supplements. But I was really bad on the weekend. Not in the "omg I ate way too much food" sense, but rather in the "wow I barely at anything" way. We were really busy this weekend and I barely had time to eat or drink water. I think when I finished tracking my food for yesterday, I only ate about 600 calories, which is really super low. I'm thinking that's why my loss is as big as it is this week and it'll come and bite me in the *kitten* for next week. Does anyone else notice that they don't do as well on the weekends? I think I do much better on the weekdays because I'm in a routine at work.
In other news, only 0.8 lbs away from my first major goal! Great job everyone!0 -
