Still no word from gym manager. Gonna have to do something. They always have trainers there, so I thought sessions could be anytime during their hours. We'll see. The trainer I like only works afternoons (when I used to go, during sons tutor time). The guy I spoke to, who obv works mornings kept bringing up crosstrain (their version of crossfit). And although I want to try crossfit, I paid for trainer sessions and want a good trainer who can teach and correct my form on barbell stuff. That way when I got on usa, I can be ready to use barbells already...or get crossfit intro course in English. And anyway, I couldn't do their crosstrain right now with my poor diet...I'm already just trying to think of ways of hacking my eating schedule to be able to do any lifting at all. And I'm going to stay off running for awhile to be sure my legs are back. It's been a full year since it started and although they finally feel 100%, I don't want to do anything stupid.

Today I had to walk downtown back to DH office again to deliver smthg. Also did lots of stuff around the house and am clearing out stuff from our storage room, which makes me feel great! So lots of trips down the street to the dumpster....feeling lighter and lighter with every trip!! First appt with therapist is tomorrow....wondering how that's going to go. Friend says she has perfect English...I hope so, bc I talk in a lot of metaphors and idioms. Will see.

    Have a good one!

Sherry - Man our lives must be in sync! My first appointment with my therapist is tomorrow as well! We'll have to compare notes! That is weird that they would only have one time you could do training! Hopefully that all works out!

Laura - The problem was I normally don't do fuel on my bike as I do it on the runs...at least for Olympic distances. So I completely blanked on grabbing something for my bike ride.

Sherry - So glad that you're finally feeling better!

Yesterday my hubby got me an Apple Watch! I'm pretty excited to try it out. It has fitness tracking, but it also will help get me disconnected from my phone more. When I check my phone or iPad for stuff...I get sucked into Facebook, games, etc and waste a bunch of time in activities that aren't very edifying. Hoping the watch will help me be able to stay on top of communication stuff (texts and emails) without all the other crap and that it still tracks my activities and such. So far it looks pretty awesome! We sent in some old phones and got $250 in gift certificates. So the watch ended up only costing a little over $100 which moves it from crazy expensive to reasonable. Which is why I was able to get one. It was my Mother's Day present.

Today I have my staff meeting, and a couple of friends are coming over for dinner. Otherwise a more low-key day. I'm leading a breakout session at our churches parenting workshop so I'll probably spend quite a bit of time working on that. I'm starting to feel lighter as I'm slowly removing excess responsibilities from myself. My friend Steph told me to start texting her before I take on extra stuff and get her opinion on whether it's necessary. I may take her up on that as I'm such a yes person. Plus, seeing a therapist to help with my inability to be assertive for myself and to work so hard at earning people's favor. I have great hope that a lot of my crazy stress is starting to go away!

    Have a great Tuesday everyone!

Good luck with the therapy appointment tomorrow! The trips to the dumpster sound awesome - last summer when I purged so much stuff it was an awesome feeling.

It's supposed to rain for the next few days but just started now (about 9:30 am) so I got up early this morning to get in my run. Generally speaking my runs go better in the morning, and I for sure wouldn't have enjoyed running after work when it's supposed to be 45 degrees, windy and raining. It was about the same temp this morning, but dry. I do love watching the sunrise when I'm out on the road.

My younger daughter who has masters in accounting had to stay home for her older son last few years because he has aspergers. So she decided to get teaching degree to work with special ed. When she passed tests my son n law bought her a apple watch, she loves it.

Right now she is subbing and next semester student teaching, can be teacher next spring.

I just came back from my walking trail with neighbor only coughed a few times.

Therapy and training and Maui, oh my!

I've been on even. Trying to exercise because for me, fork is 80% of weight loss. Did lunchtime workout today and felt good.

Got 11 hours of sleep last night, must've needed it. Felt groggy in am then good.

Just trying to take it bird by bird...
