The oldest and working hard!

I won't say I work the hardest because it's not a competition.
BUT I will boldly say that I am usually the oldest at my workout classes - and despite my recent ankle injury - I am killing it!
So much so, that I sweat enough to have to wash my hair every workout. I didn't have that with barre or pilates, hehehe.
Sweat isn't an example of hard activity, but .... is sort of is, right?

It sounds to me like maybe it is a competition. Not with the others in your class, but with yourself. And if you ask me, that's a good thing.
Regardless of the results, my most rewarding workouts are when I'm 40-45 minutes into an hour workout, on pace for my goal, and feeling good. Because for me, that's when the magic can happen. That motivation to give more, dig deeper, find the limits of that gas tank... and push myself harder than my original plan.4 -
Right. I do want to become stronger. Part of me says, yeah, just take the class, sweat, and enjoy it. And another part of me says, I'm here, let's do this !!!0

Keep killing it. I take a 30 minute insanity clas on Wednesday. Not many people in the class and they are all much younger. I find if I can push myself to keep pace with the youngsters for half the class, I get a great workout. I am not competing to beat anyone, just pushing, myself. Keep pushing. You only sweat when you work hard. .

Yeah, I'm ususlly the oldest too, and often one of the least strong. But on Sat I noticed that I was swinging & squatting a kettlebell heavier than most of the other women! Made me proud.4

Oh yes. This fire was a mile out a single lane dirt road on a *kitten* wall. Piloting several tons of attack pumper code one out there as the first in unit makes a boy grin.1

I like that they chose the word "kitten" to substitute... lol0

Yeah, it's an odd connection. I'd like to test a George Carlin string of words, but I'd likely get banned.2

Sometimes we have to use the word *kitten*.1
-
But what do we say when we refer to a baby cat ?2
-
I don't like the kitten substitute, it just doesn't do the job and belittles kittens everywhere.2

Skipping weights today, letting a couple overuse injuries settle down. Out for a nice cruise while the wifey is at a baby shower for my nephews wife. Coffee break at my favorite Cafe.

Although my legs felt great and strong on Friday, we did some hip stuff at yoga on Saturday so I'm tender today... I was thinking of getting out the ladder and doing the windows but hmmm... a motorcycle ride sounds curiously attractive...3

Living the dream Farback
You know, you're right. I'm fit, strongest I've ever been, six grandchildren I spend time with every weekend, riding my motorcycle to calls to drive huge firetrucks, 60 years old and happily married. Almost 3 years since my heart attack and living the dream.
