I am thinking about buying the fitbit scale. I would love to get some feedback and reviews from those who have already purchased one.

I've had once since I think November 2014. Overall, it's fine to pretty good.

I like the syncing, that works really well (set up is a little frustrating, but once you've got it you don't have to think about it again). No issues with connections or updating my Fitbit account, recognizes multiple users with no problems.

In terms of the accuracy/consistency of the weight and body fat, I don't find that any more or less accurate than any other halfway decent body fat scale. Only minor variations if I weigh myself multiple times in a row. I don't expect that the measured body fat it gives me is actually correct, but the readings appear consistent enough that I believe it's at least good enough to monitor trends. That's about the best you can expect from any bathroom scale.

Battery life is truly excellent, I have to say. My scale is used, on average probably 10-15 times per week across a few people and I'm still showing a "medium" battery level after 1.5 years per the app. Can't complain about that, certainly.

I don't know if I'd pay $100+ for it, though. When I bought mine, I got a REALLY good deal - Black Friday combined with some other stuff so I barely paid out of pocket. It's fine, and it's REALLY convenient. But the only advantage it has over a scale that costs maybe half as much is the automatic update of your Fitbit account. If that's worth it to you, then it's definitely not a bad investment. But, it's not going to do anything special besides that.

I like mine because it updates my weight in Fitbit, Myfitness pal and trend weight without having to think about it. Sometimes the interface is slow. The body fat is likely not accurate, it says I'm 29.5% and I'm a size 6 pants. However, you can still use the trend to show fat loss. The only issue I've heard is if you have multiple users who are close in weight. My husband and I do not have that problem LOL.

My husband and I have been at times pretty close (    ), and all that happens is that it asks you to select which individual the weight belongs to. You tap on the scale with your foot until your initials come up, then you just let it sync. I think that happens if your weights are within like 8 or 10 pounds. After the first time it happened and we didn't know what was going on and had to look up the instructions, hasn't been an issue at all.

I have one as well (Christmas present!). I love it for the simplicity. I have it linked to Fitbit, and it updates MFP and TrendWeight automatically. It's just one less thing that I have to remember to do manually. As far as the fat % goes - bioimpedance is notoriously unreliable as an accurate measure of body fat, but it should at least show trends. The setup was rather annoying, but after the initial setup it worked perfectly (until I had to make an adjustment to my network and redo the setup).

Overall: It just works. Step on, step off, done. And that's enough to keep me happy.

I have an Aria. Like the others who have replied, I like that it makes recording my weight every day easy. I'm much less likely to skip weighing myself since I got it (I also got it as a Christmas present). I like using it in conjunction with Trendweight (although the scale isn't required for that, just the Fitbit account). I don't trust the body fat measurement, but figure that it at least shows the trend.

Another person here who only uses body fat % to check trend.

I like how it syncs my weight effortlessly with my fit but app and mfp and trend weight (I like my stats!)

Keeps track of multiple users without effort.

Set up could be easier but isn't too bad. Annoying to redo of batteries go flat

We did have a period where it was a bit buggy and would keep lighting up with step on with no one on it which chewed up the battery as did having it too far away from the wifi, it kept trying to sync and couldn't connect and used a lot of battery life.

I really love the fact that my weight is automatically logged electronically into FitBit and MFP. The weight loss badges from FitBit are fun to earn and weighing frequently has taught me how crazy my weight can fluctuate. Although you can delete a weigh-in, I find it keeps me honest - lows and highs are all recorded, no more skipping my weight log when I see a number I don't like.

I am experiencing the bugginess as well where it lights up and keeps saying step on/off etc when no one is near . Has it been resolved for you? Anything you did to help? I tried recycling batteries etc.
