My daughter is in that area right now for a music trip. She was telling me that she was soaked when she visited the Crown Jewels.
I'm in Texas where it's either drought season or build and arc season...either way...it's pretty hot day to day. I relish the cooler days we have as the summer fades to not quite summer any longer.3 -
Yep Texas humidity this past weekend has been disgusting. Bleh.0

I'm in New York, cooler today than yesterday, we don't get real hot, mid to high 80s for the highest. Supposed to be hotter this year, fingers crossed for that, we get long cold winters so I need hot summers to dethaw lol. So far we hit 90 a couple days but going from 85 one day to 65 the next sort of sucks0

I'm very happy I'm not in the Houston area that's for sure! I used to travel all over the state for work and my least favorite places re: weather were Houston and The Valley. Here in East Texas we have some humidity, but generally it's not terrible.
What's killing me is with the very mild winter and all the rain the darn fleas are eating my animals alive! I have 5 dogs, a raccoon and a cat and I can't seem to keep them flea free. This is the first year that "normal measures" haven't worked.0 -
You have a raccoon?0
-
We do. He and his siblings were abandoned in an attic. We've raised him since near birth and he's very domesticated. He loves our dogs so much that we'd never be able to release him into the wild, he'd be killed by coyotes or other dogs. He lives in a great big Raccoon Ranch we built outside in the trees and loves to come in and hang out with the family. He goes to the vet and everything for shots. Worse thing about him? He loves to play and much like a dog he plays with his paws and mouth....clipping a coon's nails no where near as easy as clipping a pups!
Edited to add: and his name is Koujo.6 -
I'm in Connecticut and it's actually been kind of cooler here. Where is my 80s and 90s weather? I have to wait til July and August? blast.0

Vancouver can't make up its mind. Raining in the AM and now bright and sunny for the PM.
Seriously - I am never adequately prepared to tackle the weather change. Now I will look like an idiot going home in my big parka when it's so hot out.0 -
Here in Maine it's been cool and cloudy for a week or so. My sibling turned the furnace off the first of June and I've been sooooo cold!0
-
In Tennessee, I feel like I am breathing underwater! High 80s0
-
I'm going to Virginia in 2 weeks. It was absolutely awful a couple years back at the end of September. I'm going to die.0

Hydrate, hydrate and hydrate!!0

Ugh I am disliking all of the heat!!
I want to move to the far north east and hide in a little cabin until the heat goes away!! Buuuut since that isn't ever going to happen I will just have to suck it up and drink. (Water)0 -
It was 78 degrees and sticky as all get out when I walked out of work at 8 am this morning. So gross.1

Our forecast is calling for 110 on Monday. Which was supposed to be my day to try out running again. Yeah...no.2

That is one of the worst feelings!! I love the outdoors/woods but man here in the Deep South they can be miserable with all of the humidity!! 78 degrees would be perfection any other way!! Lol

My sunglasses steamed up instantly day before yesterday when I stepped out of my apartment. At 6:00 am, CDT.0
