On average, how many lbs have you lost per wk or mo on LCHF?

I'm 37 days into ketosis, and am female, and wondering if I'm losing slower than avg. Can you please share your personal avg lbs/week or lbs/mo loss on LCHF? Thx!

i have been doing LCHF x 4 weeks. initially started at 194lbs, now at 188lbs. i have not had any loss on the scale x 2.5 weeks. I exercise moderately x 30 mins (alternating biking to work and weight lifting) 3-4x/wk. I feel like i have lost belly fat but now seem kind of stalled. Sticking with it as it has eliminated a lot of my binge eating.4

My 32 pounds lost average .56 pounds per week over the 57 weeks I've been Keto. Of course it was a much higher average in the beginning, but to average over half a pound throughout is pretty dang good! I haven't lost any scale weight that's stayed off in months. But, I have gotten smaller. Had to buy new clothes!3

I don't have a scale. Haven't gone to the gym in a while just ran outside. Feel a little better but seems like I'm not losing much yet. Although its only been 1 week. I started out at 130lbs. Not sure how much now. I'll check tomorrow0

How much you lose depends on your starting weight and overall deficit. Hard to compare meaningfully without also sharing that other info.
But since you asked, 12 lbs in the first 5 weeks. Half of that was in the first 10 days.1 -
I've lost 60 pounds in 14 months (whatever that averages to). Some months I didn't lose, and some I did. Just know that the scale can be a liar! Measure yourself, and take pictures! These changes can be more motivating when the scale isn't moving (it will happen)! As long as you stick to your plan the scale will catch up! And don't allow the scale to dictate your food choices!1

I am averaging about 11lbs a month at the minute, but I have a lot of weight to lose, I know this will slow down as I get closer to goal - I have just started again and in the last 2 weeks I have lost 8.5lbs but my weight losses per week have ranged from 1lb to 4lb - everybody will be different and it will all depend on metabolism - I haven't yet had a stall in the weight loss yet, but I know this may well happen too and will just keep on track and not get disheartened1

I was averaging 3 to 4 lbs. a week the first few weeks, then I added exercise and the loss went to 2 lbs. a week. I am now losing 2 to 4 lbs. a week (still exercising). Usually 4 lbs, but the times I lose 2 lbs, I tend to have a bigger tape measurement loss(strange, I know). I've lost almost 50 lbs. in almost 4 months. Granted I am VERY heavy and have a lot to lose, so will lose faster than someone with less to lose.4

I lose a pound a week or so - 3 - 5lb per month.1

I lost all my weight (23 lbs) within the first 3-4 months and then I didn't lose any weight. In fact, I actually gained a few pounds back.
BUT in the time that I haven't lost any weight or even gained a few pounds back, I have lost inches and went from a size L to a S in tops and a 12 down to a 6 in jeans.
So I could really care less if the scale goes down.
OP, don't get worried if the scale stops moving. It is not the be all and end all of the journey!7 -
My average is probably around 2 pounds a week. 34lbs lost in 3 months.1

I have been on the diet for 5 weeks and have lost 14 lbs. I was thinking the same thing.....BUT, I no longer have IBS issues and do not need to take three imodium before I leave the house I can actually go somewhere and not worry about having to use the restroom!! That in itself, for me, is reason enough to change the way I eat for the rest of my life. Granted, the quick weight loss would be amazing, but I do not expect that to happen.5

Started at 2 pounds/week for the first month. Then 1 pound/week for 4 months, then .5 pounds/week for next 4 months.0

I have lost 7.6 pounds in 6 weeks doing moderate carbs -- generally 80-100 total carbs per day. I am very close to goal (maybe 5-10 lbs to go) and had been stalled for... YEARS... so this 7.6 lb in 6 weeks has been huuuge for me.4

I have lost almost 30 pounds in 3 months, but I lost 17 of those pounds in the first month so things have slowed down. Month two I lost 7.5 pounds, and so far I've lost 4.5 pounds this month with one week left to go until I officially weigh in and take measurements for the month 3. I agree with the previous posts--take measurements!! I lost just as many inches the second month as I did the first, just not near as many pounds.
Good luck to you! Don't let that scale get you down!3 -
I've been on track for just over 11 months. I've lost almost 55 pounds. I started losing about 1.5 pounds a week, but have now slowed down to under 1 pound a week. My average is still over 1 pound a week, but not by much.2

In July of 2013 I started out at 185 lbs. Lost 6 lbs in the first two weeks (mostly water); a total of 12 lbs in the first six weeks. In seven months I got down to 140 lbs. So a 45 lb loss in 35 weeks. Since much of the first 6 lbs was water, I'd say it was more like 40 lbs in 35 weeks. So just barely over 1 lb per week, when you average it out. But it wasn't uncommon for me to go a few weeks without any loss (or even see the scale go up a few lbs), then get a "whoosh" where I'd lose 1-3 lbs in a single week. The closer I got to goal, the less often the whooshes would happen, and the smaller the whoosh would be. Most of my weight loss was in the first 3 months.0

I'm averaging 1.5-2 lbs/week. It's really inconsistent. My calorie goal is 1800/day. But I eat to hunger so some days I net 1400 and some days 2600.0

I've been keto for almost exactly 3 Mo and I have lost 30 lbs, so averaging 10 a month3
-
2 lbs a week when I started - kept that up for 4 months with about 30 gr carbs per day
I then started having more carbs [30-50] and it went to 0.25 to one lb per week for the last 5 months-
overall average 0.9lbs per week
I'm going back to 25 carbs a day to get a "kick"2 -
I average 10lbs a month for the 5 months I have been LCHF. 12-15g carbs daily. My only blip was a 2 week period when I only lost 1lb a week as I had injured my hip and was on forced rest. Exercise is a real key ingredient for me.0
-
In the beginning, 2 pounds per week. Now it averages out to 5 pounds per month. Sometimes nothing per month, then the scale catches up. There is no rhyme or reason to it.1
-
I was losing about 2 lbs per week, maybe 3, for the first three or so months. Once I was into a normal BMI, it slowed way down to about 0.5 lbs or less per week; some weeks I lost a bit and others I gained.0
-
When I average my weight loss overall (65lbs since February 1st) I've lost about 3.5lbs a week, not terrible (some weeks I don't lose then I whoosh down 6 or what have you). I'm kind of hoping since I'm at the last 8.5lbs before goal weight and reassessing if I need to lose more that I'll keep to the 2lb or so rate of loss3
-
I started at 287 May 18 and now weigh 266, so 21 pounds in about a month. I am not doing keto (LCHF)...just low carb -- no sugars, grains, rice, pasta or potatoes. I eat fruit most days and don't avoid any vegetables other than corn which doesn't digest well for me. I exercise five or six days a week (racquetball or tennis mostly) and have been doing weight training three days a week the past two weeks. MFP diet has me eating 1900 calories a day to lose 2 pounds a week and I never go over that. I also don't eat back my exercise calories. I don't know why the weight is dropping so quickly, but I'm sure it will taper off. I feel terrific.2

half a pound per week is my average1
-
Right now I'm 55 lbs under my starting weight of 236, but I did lose 67 lbs and then gained a few back recently. I've been at it for 16 months, so that's a monthly average of 3.4375 lbs, or about 0.8 lb per week. I emphasize AVERAGE, because I lost about 60 lbs in my first 10 months and haven't really lost any new weight since then. There are so many variables here that it's impossible to say what's "normal" for this WOE or any WOE. Don't give up!

Normally I aim for a lb a week but have been de-railed a bit lately (medical reasons). Before June I was at 55lbs lost and started low carb Oct 2015. Now I'm up 5lbs for a total of 50lbs lost which I'm assuming the extra 5 is water weight.
When you first start you'll drop quite a bit, typically around 5-7lbs up to even 12lbs depending on how much water your body is hanging onto and then it slows down from there.0 -
I've lost 21 lbs in 3 months....most of that was in the first 2 months, I've had a stall for a month now, but I'm not giving up because I feel sooooo much better on this WOE!!0

Today at the doctors I weighed 8 lbs less than my last visit 3 months ago.
I've been LC for over a year now. I don't have a working scale at home anymore.
Total should be in the 90s.
