How fast does it take to get back on track?

I ate quite a lot of carbs and had glass of wine with dinner last night. Today I woke up this morning starving hungry headachey and groggy. Honestly just one glass of wine! Today has been a bit of a challenge, I'm back on LCHF but feeling a bit headachey and sluggish. Is it possible this is all from eating carbs last night? It took me about 6 days to adapt to LCHF when I first started, will it take that long again? Physiologically what happened to my body???

It's absolutely possible. I did it awhile back and the morning after was AWFUL. It took me a full 24 hours, and a bit into the second day, to be back on track.
I recommend bumping up your electrolytes significantly, since you'll likely need to shed some water after last night. I bumped from 1 bottle of ketoade (4g morton's lite salt with sodium/potassium) to 2, and was right as rain on day 2.
Best of luck and some hugs for the journey!0 -
Oh yeah, I forgot about the electrolytes! I'll try some broth ASAP!1

12-24 hours typically if I do not eat more carbs but that is just from eating whole vegetables.0

Your words make me even more resolute to not fall off the carb wagon. I feel for you and hope you are back on track in no time. Hang in there!0

Yes, that plus many of us who go LCHF find that we become extreme lightweights when it comes to alcohol after going Keto even if we weren't lightweights before so just be aware of that in the future.0

The groggy and sluggish is most likely due to low sodium. The broth should fix you up. If it doesn't have you feeling better within 20 minutes or so, have some more. Once the balance is restored, you'll be all set.0
