Menstrual issues on VLCD

On my my second month of Ketogenic diet and this month no menstration? I track my cycles and I'm not having sex so that's not an issue. I've lost 10lbs so nothing too rapid. Anyone else have these issues? I've been reading some things about leptin and its role in regulating hormones. Without carbs leptin is less produced. I'm just wondering if it's a concern.

I never missed any, but I've had more often than usual off and on throughout the past year. Only seems to be normalizing in the last couple months for me. So probably about 8 months of wacky timing in my case. But never missing any.
I do think there's a lot of adjustment hormonally and it takes time to get to a healthy place.2 -
Here is a REALLY great artical I read on the issue. I'm going to bump up my carb intake a little and or carb cycle a bit to see if I find some regulation. I have Hashimotos/hypo thyroid disease as well so it may be valuable to tweak my macros a bit and get my hormones regulated again.

When I was vlc my second cycle was about a week late. They regulated after that. It's perfectly normal even on a regular SAD to have an annovulatory cycle about once a year, even if you've never had one before, your cycle can change at any time. When I was late I did a lot of reading and found it was common in the beginning to have fluctuations but must became more regular than before after a couple cycles.1

It's not uncommon for women on keto to have a disrupted cycle for a couple of months. As I understand it, it usually evens back out. Keto results in some hormonal changes, and women in particular are sensitive to changes in our hormonal balances. It might be useful to go for a couple of months and let your system try to work itself out and come to its own new normal.
Also, have a look at http://www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/ for the thyroid front.0 -
