Sweating profusely on keto?

Is anyone else experiencing severe bodily precipitation over everything? Before keto I use to only break a sweat halfway through a 45min walk or during workouts, now I'm having it pour out my face during cleaning, cooking, any amount of physical exertion, and last night I slipped on my floor during a work out from sweating so much. It also leaves me feeling cold even though it's been about 84degrees. Anyone else having this happen? Is this a good or bad thing?

I've never experienced this. Bump, in case others have.1

I swear like crazy on keto. I haven't given it too much thought. I just mop it up and move on.1

I have! I am keeping an eye on this post! Have you been on keto long? I recently started (May 1st) I no longer see ketones in my urine even keeping under 20 g of carbs a day and moderate protein. Maybe it's just the process of the body becoming keto-adapted??? Not sure, but definitely a good question! Hopefully the long term keto veterans have some insight to share!1 -

My ketones are zero or trace on most days, even days when I am below 20g of carbs. To get to moderate ketones I need to fast a day or two. It's been like that for about 8 months. I had larger ketone readings when I was losing weight.0 -

Yes, I have read that the ketones in urine are only what you are NOT using for energy. And that the ketostix only read 1 of the 3 ketones your body produces so blood ketones are most likely higher. I don't worry too much about that since I know I eat at or below 20g per day.
Did you have intense sweating in the beginning like OP is having? I am definitely seating more, but not sure if it was because of the process of becoming keto adapted or if it's just a coincidence?1 -

I f-ing swear like crazy all the f-ing time, too.
But really, I also started iodine therapy, so I'm dripping sweat all the time

Mine was like hot flashes in the beginning, but I would pour sweat with them. Once I got my electrolytes in order (read: quit being afraid of salt)they went away.2

I sweat like crazy on keto. Some days is way worse than others.0

I was just going to post on this too! I am in month 5 and the "hot flashes" have been going on for 2 months almost everytime I eat. Plus when I am not eating, I am warm all the time. Anyone have any science to explain this? Is it normal for lchf?0

This has happened to me a couple times too, I'm in my 4th week. Glad that's "normal" as I don't usually sweat much at all.0

No, I didn't have the intense sweating, but I do get the occasional hot flash. It could be keto related or it could just be because I'm middle aged.0
